Damn it , hate when you’re right lol. I start little baby arguments because I want my man to show me he loves me and he’s the chill type so he don’t like it AT ALL.
This rings especially true when you’ve been used to measuring your worth by how helpful or of service you can be to other people - spreading myself thin, withholding parts of myself to tend to other people’s perceptions and inability to hold more than one truth, just so that other people can have friends in their loneliness.
I’ve always tended to lean towards the underdog or the socially inept persona to be there for them and help them get out of it - but if what I’m doing in the process is not being myself, then I am also not generating enough space for that person to be fully accepted by me. I think this also comes from a place of valuing myself so highly as the “better” or “bigger” person that it’s not my job to save them by befriending them and introducing new experiences to them.
But what happens when they feel the same way about me? When they cannot see the sacrifices I’m making in order to befriend them but that’s an unfair burden that I’m placing on them. Being friends with someone doesn’t have to be a sacrifice.
The reason I get into these kinds of friendships is because I feel as sense of power, control and authority, since I automatically think I’m better than them for being more intellectually and socially adept. I get to have the say and be the bigger person and dictate the terms of the friendship. But this isn’t what a healthy friendship is built off of.
It’s built on mutual liking and acceptance and it’s true. Their values don’t align with mine. I don’t have the same beliefs. And I am committed to self-growth, learning and discovery. Asking hard truths is what I do very often and I know they won’t be able to handle it. So I was exercising discernment in allowing for their opinions to coincide beside mine, but I’m realising that they’re not willing to create the same space for me to exist alongside them.
And I don’t need to martyr myself for anyone. I deserve to be surrounded by fulfilling connections who see me as who I am. Who i can be authentic around and not constantly have to read the room in fear of offending them. At the end of the day, it does come back to being socially accepted and the one that everyone is fine with and likes but if my inherent identity goes against their beliefs, then we cannot coexist in the same space.

Hhaha, I need to ditch the Leo im dating, because Im only playing an old version of myself, I guess😅 Im really frustrated actually, and there's nothing to do about it. I have this connection with someone, thats been so fucking emotional and strange for 17years now. We have never been together, but the energy is so overwhelming everytime we meet. The more I "wake up" the more intense it gets. Before Ive been able to shake it off, but not anymore, because I think ive gotten better to understand where some of the random restlessness is coming from. And he's in a relationship with someone else. I think I pick up on his girlfriend talking shit about me, and sending me negative vibes. Some of her friends even tries to befriend me. Its weird, because I cant even talk about it to anyone, because then Im the crazy one. I live in a town in Norway where nobody is awake. They dont have to honestly, everyone is "good". I just cant relate to anyone anymore. Most people are happily living in shallow land. I havent been seeing anyone for 1,5year, and have just been working on myself and my own healing. Then suddemtly out of the blue this person moves back to town, and is pulling so hard on my energy. I cant stand it, and I really dont want to be connected to him anymore. Ive done cordcutting rituals, swore to myself that I would never think about him again. Shock him like a demon. So I tried to date, thinking it would be good to "open" myself up to other oppertunities from the universe. To take it slow. It was fun, for a while. Now I crystal clearly see that this Leo is not nearly on the same vibe as me. He's likes to spend money on me, but its giving me such a bad taste in my mouth. Im currently working on some songs about it 😂
