One of my favorite compositions by Gordon. What a treasure,we have had the pleasure to hear. I met this beautiful young teen when I myself at 15 was setup on a date say 1970 . I was really into music so I asked favorite musicians? Gordon Lightfoot was the answer and there the journey began.
So nice to see a younger, healthier, articulate Gord.

They should make a biopic with Bryan Cranston playing an older Gordon and Chris Pratt playing a younger Gordon.
Chris Pratt: younger Gordon (1958-1980), Bryan Cranston: middle-aged Gordon (1981-1993), Bill Nighy: older elderly Gordon (1994-2018).

Gordon Lightfood in 1993 was Bryan Cranston in 2010
She was a dizzy thing, while our guy didn't realize there are a dozen keys. Maybe thought using a capo would eliminate the harder ones. All told, interesting + too brief.
Most of those folk songs are written in half a dozen and singers tend to favour those that suit their voice. I prefer G or Dmaj.
I think he knew that there are a dozen keys: he went to music school! I heard him say once in an interview that there were about five keys that worked well for his kind of music.
