- A quick vid showing How to Pair Pactalk Bold units via the amazing dynamic mesh communication technology (DM). Mr Fish and I used these to chat whilst out riding on the bikes for episode 5 of the 'Bru Time' podcast - check out the full vid in the link below. Random question. Hi teapot. I have a 2014 triumph street triple r. It’s got the Pirelli rosso corsa Tyer on it. Good Tyer in the dry but they don’t half make my ass twitch in the rain. I ride my bike all year round it’s my only transport. Can you recommend a good Tyer for me . Especially for the wet. Thanks Rob
When I took my STR '16 on a European tour I didn't trust Rosso Corsas to last the distance so opted for sports touring tyres - Metzeler Z8 Interacts. My son was on a Daytona 675R with Michelin Power RSs. In the warm and dry we were evenly matched but when it was cold or wet he couldn't keep up. He was constantly finding the limits while I was relaxed and confidently pushing on. Sports touring tyres perform better in cold or wet, warm up quicker, last twice as long and are often cheaper than hyper sports tyres. The front profile is usually more rounded so you roll into bends more than flick in but it's just different rather than better/worse. I'm never going back. I'll probably try Michelin Road 5s next.
You can’t beat the Michelin Road 5’s for all round road riding in any weather.

Generic term for those who ride in a variety of manners, predominantly in tarmac - more than the occasional rider who only rides when the sun is high, tarmac is sticky, and clouds absent.

How do you change form playing music to the intercom?
Tap the ‘roller’ wheel at the back of the unit - this stops/pauses whatever function you’re currently in, then tap the top intercom button
Hi guys I’m looking at getting pair of pack talks mainly for pillion use. We’re suffering with wind noise got the Sena’s.. do they cut the wind noise out at out national speeds! Cheers. 👍 loving your shows.
I'm wondering the same thing. I currently have a pair of Sena 30K's. If I'm using it myself it works pretty well however, if connected to the other device, the wind constantly opens up the mic, cutting out the music and it stays open until I slow down to around 30mph.
Do you have any issues like this with the Cardo? Thanks.
Hello folks, no it’s almost the complete opposite with the Pactalk - if nobody is talking it’s so quiet you have to keep saying something to make sure they’re still on! 😂
The sound quality is fantastic when connected via mesh, they’re simply the best on the market at the mo without doubt.👍

No mate, I did connect it and tbh it posed zero benefit and was just a pain as you have to switch things on in a set sequence every time. I disconnected and don’t bother at all now.
My cardo is connected purely to my phone and I’ve never needed anything else personally 🤷♂️👍

Thinking I should have got the bold instead of the slim. Initially thought the slim would be better but its a pita with it being separate. Also wish it was that easy to pair non mesh units, I'm the only one out of my mates with the new system, pairing with the old bluetooth system is a nightmare!!! Did you get your earbuds from the bike show? I was getting my impressions done at the same time as you. Haven't had a chance to use them yet, I asked for a short cable on them but came with a regular length cable, not sure how that'll work in the real world....
No I’ve not heard anything back since getting the impressions at the show?🤷♂️ They were going a freebie though so I’m not hassling them.
Yeah a mate of mine got the Slim, but very quickly sold it and got a Bold for the same reasons as you say.
The Bold is a great bit of kit

I am currently still using interphone F5MC twin pack, for myself and my good lady when two up on the bike.
Aye gadge. That's all very well but that's the easy bits. Now a more appropriate challenge for you would be to demo how you connect a cardo to a BMW f 750 display, a phone, sat nav and the helmet. I have a Cardo Q3 (at the moment) but I get in an awffy guddle trying to link them up. Yes I am a bit "hard of thinking" or FEEL as we say in the Blootoon. Would this be a more appropriate challenge for you? Millions would benefit, nations would applaud your knowledge and your profile on YT would zoom. It's a win, win choice min. Looking forward to seeing this in the near future ma loon.
