- Fab/Pipeline work has to be my favorite kind of welding job to be in. In order to get in you have to pass a butt weld in 5g (Sometimes in 6g called Arkansas bell hole) and a branch test. The branch actually only qualifies you to do olets.....lmao. I know right? Pretty freaking stupid!! But it is what it is guys. Hopefully you guys find some of this info useful and informative as well as put it to good use. I am not the best but I did fool quite a bit of inspectors out there. Thank you guys for watching!!
