The Pats need to get their O-line in order before they even think about putting Maye in.

Sounds like theyd of somehow been better off trading back to take Penix to start now and for Maye to sit behind Cousins.

Turns out there was no trading back for Penix. The hot take was a trade back with the Vikings or Raiders, which both couldn't draft Penix.
Just start Brissett. He lit it up the last season he got to play.
Maye was said to sit one season anyway. Now, suddenly there's unnecessary pressure? Not buying it. They didn't go get Brissett as just getting the bench band back together. They are ready to ball as is.

Racial stuff aside, promoting from within is a sign of healthy corporate culture. I think this is an example of good management and the Rooney rule is inappropriate in this circumstance.

It is Zappe who needed one more lineman he beat Joe Burrow's record in college for most touchdowns thrown with 62 TD's in kentucky

Joe Milton can become a really good QB and could be the steal of the draft.

All QB's on the Patriots have a shot. They just got to make the most of it.

I don't know...is NE's QB coach ...T. C. McCartney...good enough to build Maye? The last place he coached QB's was the 2019 Broncos (Drew Lock, Joe Flacco) I don't have a lot of faith in this decision by NE.

The patriots skirting around the rules?
    Boy, haven’t heard this before

It seems like the Patriots have picked two bad quarterbacks in a row. I thought that JJ McCarthy was probably the third-best QB in this class just from an all-around intangible perspective. Obviously the Patriots struck gold when they picked Brady but in reality they got lucky. The same thing with the 49ers and Purdy as few people thought Brock would be so good. I’m interested to see how JJ works out with the Vikings though because I think you could flip a coin. (I still think you can take a QB with a killer arm and mold him into a quarterback. But if you take a guy with a mediocre arm he better have a whole lot of intangibles to work out. I just don’t see why the Patriots like Maye.)

When you say mediocre arm, are you talking about Mac jones or Drake maye? I’m confused. They do not have anywhere near the same amount of arm talent.

JJ has a noodle arm. After the Mac jones experience no thanks especially a team like the pats who have no talent
