As a white European living in South Africa I realized that everyone is friendly and polite wherever I went so far. I also realized that some , not all, white people still are angry about that they lost something they didn't own before. Treat the people with respect and you are accepted. Give people a smile and you make their day. Do not allow others to divide the people. They all can live together in peace.

Mandela was never to blame, it's clear you don't know SA history and how Mandela was set-free. Mandela had no other options to how he ruled South Africa after the elections....he made promises to his jailers before being set-free on how the country would be run.
The apartheid government was not over-thrown by the majority that demanded their freedom, so they could have hung on to their apartheid ideas for much longer, if they really wanted to (other governments have done this in spite of not being the majority) and the South African apartheid government had the weapons to hang on a lot longer, but they opted for change and made deals with Mandela and his party (ANC) and that's why little changed after the ANC came to power....it was not Mandela's call to do this, but he was freed to follow certain rules even when he came to power.

I'm not black and I'm not white I'm coloured in CT. People always talk about Cape Independence without talking about us. Nothing of the sort is going to happen if it doesn't have our backing. We are the majority in the Western Cape.
The ANC government has many racists laws against my people and the black majority of keeps them in power. In the western cape where we are the majority we occupy the least positions in work. Our CV's are through bin the bin we aren't even considered for jobs. We constitute under 10% of the overall population and account for more than 60% of people in jail. Our communities has the most violence in them comparable to active war zones with thousands and thousands of my people dying every year. We are getting nothing from this black government no help just oppression.
I know there are tons of racist white people wanting Cape Independence but in the same time there's a big awakening about the coloured people we were divided but no longer. Many of my people also seek Independence and I am one of them.
And just to be clear the only Africans that has a histrionic claim to land in the Northern and Western Cape is the coloured people (we are of khoi and bushman decent) there's no bantu african person that has an historic claim to land in my region.

Many black people like to think that our history started with the union of SA or even at Apartheid. Cape Malay constitutes under 10% of coloured people. The mixture between bantu tribe makes up a tiny minority of the coloured people. I use coloured as a term that we were classified as.
The vast majority of the coloured people are of khoi and bushman decent. Once again it's not an emotional statement it's a fact.
My gripe isn't with bantu african people. Nor do any of us need permission or legitimacy from any group anywhere in this world. WE ARE and we exist and whether white or black think it's an inconvenience WE ARE and we are getting stronger in uniting and will gain our independence.

In the new democracy we've been under the impression and been discriminated against. Especially in CT and for some reason people think it's racist or doesn't want to focus on issues that are adversely affecting the coloured people (once again using it in a political sense)

With this type of historical events that happened in Africa, how in the world did Africa not see this coming. If they have been in this part of Africa they have been eating from the land for ages and not helping Africa get ahead. As a white South African who lives in the Western Cape, I do not want our province to leave South Africa. The ANC is a problem for all South Africans, but that doesn't mean we should leave and become our own country. Thankfully the DA opposes secession, though they have still lost my support for them.
