- Nationals Leader David Littleproud says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Energy Minister Chris Bowen have been queried over the costs of their “all-renewables approach”.
“This is where I think we have asked not only the Prime Minister but Chris Bowen in parliament this week about what are the actual genuine cost of their all-renewables approach,” he told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“We will be upfront … about what the costs are for nuclear, but we already have some of those numbers out.”
No good of asking Bowen or Albo. They've got No Fkn Idea how much they'll cost.
Same can be said about the Liberals 'nuclear' proposal.
@@aup10 How so?
@@adrianw7011 Have they given us any details as to how much nuclear will cost? I heard the Liberal shadow energy minister declare that once they are back in government, they will then engage an independent third party to work out the energy needs and how to build them. That means they have no bloody idea how much this project will cost. Remember, no investors will touch this, so it will be fully funded by tax payers.
@@aup10 why won,t Albo give us there renewable costs because he is full of crap and he knows if he does it will be a disaster for him.
@@adrianw7011 because those against nuclear are already brain dead like Albo and Bowen.
Subsidies don't reduce inflation they increase taxes
Dutton is proposing to subsidise nuclear 100% by having it government owned.
One term Government, this 🤡 show needs to close down. 🎪
Hopefully 'one term', otherwise we're stuffed. You can't TAX your way out of economic turmoil. You need to actually do something to improve the economy!!
@@orkadian4173 Did we conveniently forget about the tax cuts coming in now? And can you tell me how much will these tax funded nuclear reactors are going to cost us?
@aup10 Tax cuts that make up a small percentage of the increasing inflation caused by shit management. Not saying the other side is any better but something has to change
@@aup10wake up mate. Did you even listen to what he said? Nuclear will cost a fraction of Labor’s 100% renewables con and last 4 times longer. Nuclear will also bring back manufacturing to help build back our economy and provide cheap reliable zero emissions base load energy to consumers. There are multiple wins for Australia with an energy mix that includes nuclear. The one thing any government must do however in order to achieve any of this is increase the use of our own coal to fill the gap until we can build enough nuclear to take over. 😎👊👍🇦🇺
@@galacticnemesis366 The only thing galactic about you is the space in your head. Firstly you claim nuclear will be a fraction of the cost. Based on what cost calculations? There are none. Zero. Seven reactors will cost roughly 100 billion. If you boost the numbers of reactors for each site, this can add up to 500 billion. And guess what genius, the projected output at best is estimated to be around five to 10 percent of our overall energy mix! This mean renewable will still be required, so the bill for this won't go away. We will be paying a massive amount, all tax funded by us, for some base load supply. I'm would suggest batteries will be far cheaper for this purpose.
Wish we had a renewable prime minister
I would rather 'a one term use only' PM.
We"ll soon have a disposable one!
wish he would RENEW his voice box
The election will be a good renewable. Hope they enjoy 20 years in opposition.
Get rid of Labor and the idiotic greens as well
Im sick of all politicians . Country been getting worse these past two decades.
Actually it’s 5 decades .
Labor are clueless
and lie-plus
Labor apparently doesn’t have to release their full costings even though they’ve had two years to work on them but Dutton puts out his policy and there’s so much crying from Labor about his costings lol, what a circus Labor are
Dutton was in the government for ten years and not a peep out of him. If you don't know vote NO
@@Poorlineforeva But we do know - Renewables won't cut it.
@@Poorlineforeva lol, Dutton was never in power and Albo was very quiet when in opposition so what’s you’re point? We don’t know much about Albos policy as he is making it up on the fly hence no full costings but we do know that he has broken every election promise and can’t stop himself from telling lies so he is going to cost Labor the next election even though he won’t survive until then
@@Poorlineforeva Labour was also in government and did nothing, i know and i voted no and still got the idiot PM and his clowns
The new governor general should do her job in the interest of the Australian people and sack Anthony Albanese.
Don't be ignorant. She has no power to do that. You are just being silly now
@@Poorlineforeva we could get technical on this but yes a prime minister can be dismissed under certain circumstances by the GG.
@@damiengoss8382 it will never happen

What rock have you been living under.
And she should also sack herself for being complicant on this climate change scam!

The comments complaining about the Public going to own Nuclear generation seem to be the same ones complaining that the Governments of Australia need to Publicly own Power Generation. If they want the Power generation in Public hands then Nuclear has to be included in that.
Bought a bag of groceries the other day, $60.00! ... So what does all our natural resources do for that!
ALBOSLEEZY should spend his own money not living on taxpayer benefits!!
They said fake it till you make it.
When can I stop faking it?
Renewables also means we will need to replace the infrastructure continuously to keep it running, not so cheap.
The DR from ANSTO Said We MUST Remove the Ban the MARKET WILL Sort it out. We will Then Get CORRECT Costing and Offers to Build. My Sons and Son inlaw are Pleased about the Work Coming UP in These AREAS.
All of what David said is great but we must increase our coal usage to fill the gap until we can build nuclear or this country will be stuffed. 😎👊👍🇦🇺
I'm convinced that our inflation is mainly driven by Governments, Feds, State & Local Councils. They just keep increasing taxes & fees. Fuel excise + GST on top, Council Rates, Electricity & Gas price hikes and the list goes on. They are responsible for Inflation increases.
TWEEDLE dee and tweedle dumb ALL the wind will bring the two undone
Surely the electorate will save their country and ensure this Pathetic Labor government will be a one-term wonder!!😢
If I understand correctly, at least 130 thousand invaders will arrive in AU. Of which 80% are “peaceful”.
Dutton has his own CZcams channel now, but has the comments turned off WHY would you do that unless you don’t want to hear what the people think or don’t care about what they think.
1.4T usd =100% renewable , Nuclear total cost 400B usd .
Get an FOI for Treasury and relevant depts to release every amount paid in relation the labor energy policy..and future expected costs.
Keep asking
Imagine if bowen, chalmers, shorten, plebisec, wong, Burke and albanese told Australians how much they have spent and how much needs to be spent
Power Gas Food UP UP UP ....THATS LABOR
Call an Election
And the renewable cost in the Trillion dollars and cost of living for themselves and not for the Australian fairdinkum people and Australia Says IAM that Iam Amen and amen
The cost does not matter as we need to get it done ASAP!
The cost *does* matter. Someone is going to have to *pay* for it all.
@@birgittabirgersdatter8082We are already paying for it with floods, droughts, bushfires, storms, and wilderness destruction like damage to the great barrier reef.
@@zen1647that all natural fire floods droughts been doinng it 4 thousands of years do they not relize wear we live it use to be under to ocean 😂😂😂
Why don’t both parties but up the cost and benefits of both policies so we can compare 🤔
The fundamental problem is using interest rates for supply side inflation.
No point asking such questions. They dont care. Its not their money & i garuantee both their houses have standby diesel generators.
Albo must go
Labors cost for its net Zero is the job of CSIRO Gen reports
Sack albo now
One problem with relying entirely on ‘renewables’ such as solar and wind is the intermittent nature of it.
It also doesn’t address the possibility of a worldwide natural disaster like an asteroid strike or a massive volcanic eruption ( or nuclear war ) that would negate solar power completely.
Nuclear power plants and natural gas plants would be the only thing sustaining civilisation producing life sustaining heat from which to grow food produce. Billions would surely perish but why should all Australians?
The sham of Australia’s climate change policy has been made clear in the past two weeks. No, not nuclear power. Last Friday, while everyone was racing down nuclear-powered rabbit holes, the environment department (led by the environment minister, Tanya Plibersek) approved a coal seam gas pipeline in Queensland. This approval “has effect until 30 June 2069”. And on Tuesday the department approved the Atlas stage 3 gas project in Queensland out to June 2080. Oh wait, gas is a fossil fuel - where is the Federal opposition when you need it?
DO ANY OF THE HOMOSAPIENS ON THIS FEED LOOK RENEWABLE TO YOU ?
Yet another politician who can’t pronounce NUCLEAR.
PM & Bowen, what absolute Boof Heads! They actually think they’re doing a good job, FFS!
Albo actually loves himself, Bowen fails at everything he’s touched, then there is the incompetence of Giles, O’Neil, Wong, Burnie, Marles, collectively there destroying us.
It’s embarrassing to keep going on about nuclear. Where were you in 1968?
Yes, embarrassing and a waste of time when they could be focusing on something else.
They just want to go back and forwand.
I were going to work 5 days a week
not nearly as embarrassing as this green push. we are the laughing stock of thw world thanks to these incompetents "running" the country.
Working during the day and university at night and had to pay for it.
This government has put all Australians in debt for the next 3 generations to come and they want to add more billions to the already over 800+ million they in debt now that keeps climbing each year.
Labour or liberals doesn’t matter who is in office the debt will still be there .
This guy talks about a future for our children saying we need nuclear energy to achieve that 😳 and yet the only future our grand babies will have is a massive debt before they are even born 😞.
Let our government be more concerned with farmers that are disappearing , food shortages, housing for every Australian, businesses are closing down because of costs, charities are crumbling and all the while the politicians get a hefty pay rise , they have no worries about their bills because it’s paid by taxpayers.
Then the only power plant Australia has just blew up and the backup broke down as well because of budget cuts to the plant 😳 and they think having 24 more of them is cost efficient for all Australians and they couldn’t maintain just one ??
💯 NO MORE PLANTS our GOVERNMENT needs to PRIORITIES that the countries people come FIRST, NOW not in the FUTURE!!
What are the costs to just keep our cheapest possible power generation sustained (presumably coal)? I don't care about "net zero" or any of its virtue-signalling cousins
Most of you polititions have no idea what your talking about labour green's liberals no idea
My Mullet is Spectacular
The nuclear debate is a blue herring - very fishy.
Why don't politicians ever talk to people not only and solely the media ? If Albo had to talk to real people he would fall apart.
Still don't know where the reactors are going or how much they will cost. The Labor party costings have been released. Stop lying
Well, we do know where. But as you said, we have no clue about the number of reactors required, the cost, how long, what kilowatts they will produce, and what are we doing whilst they are being built. Sky have the nerve to challenge Labour on their energy policy, but none of them are prepared to challenge the Liberals on their costing or plan. It's put up or shut up.
Why complain? You voted for them and greens. Need to focus on net zero much sooner.
No other News Kenny Koala, should have just put your AI reserve on and stayed at home mate 😂
