I'd love to see you preparing your workspace and equipament to formulate. Showing how to clean and sanitize...
It would be so useful!!!
Love your videos and blog!!
Love all you recipes. Your percentages and substitution encyclopaedia helped me a lot
I'm so glad! Thanks for DIYing with me, and happy making :)
Wow I’m loving this just what my hair needs thanks.
You’re welcome 😊 Happy making!
Awesome 👏🏽 thank you for sharing, you’re the BEST 💚💚
Thanks for watching!
I LOVE you DIYs !!!
Thank you so much!
Very nice. I make my own prepoos. I just use oils, aloe and herbs. Massage my poor dry yet psoriasis scalp. Comb it down then wash out. I have one a make with salicylic acid then I’ll let it sit on my scalp for a bit. Especially if I’m having a flair up. I got that idea from a head and shoulders scalp cream ingredient list. Works pretty good. I wonder if what you made will work for kinky curly hair as a regular rinse out conditioner.
Great recipe! Thanks so much for sharing. 💛
Thanks for watching!
I just want to take a minute and appreciate you...Marie, you are glowing
Thank you! ❤️
@@HumblebeeAndMe u warmly welcome darling
@@HumblebeeAndMe my spa is breaking i don't understand y.. Can i get ur messenger address to.post u the formulation..
Can i skip hydrolyzed silk and add keratin protien? Or skip pq10 with pq7
Marie you're awesome love watching your vids
Thanks so much ❤️
I don't comment much, but I have watched you for several years now and you are just so adorable and on point with each video. Marie, thank you so much for sharing so freely what you have learned along your wonderful path. God's blessings be with you and your continued confidence as you grow and learn!! Please keep posting about substitutions as I have very limited funds and love to still try to make your recipes. (Gmama of soon to be 7 grandbabies) Still love your crunchy and chewy recipes....they bring me back to simple times!!
Thank you so much, Cheri! I'm thrilled to hear that you're loving DIYing with me ❤️ Happy making!
Oh, we got a “let’s dive in” today instead of “let’s get started”. Marie, throwing us a curveball... 😆
😂 I didn't even notice! Well caught 😄
Lol 🤭😂
Thank you for the wonderful product 😊 and wanna ask,can silk protein be replaced with hydrolysed keratin , what's the difference in their effects
Hello! I loveeeee your video’s
I was thinking if i can add more oils and maybe honey but i dont really know how to measure so please if you could help or explain to me what i should do it’d be so helpful
Thank you for sharing . Just wanted to ask do we have to test the pH level in hair masks and if yes when do we check .
Thank you
You're doing something great...Love from india👑
Thank you so much!
Lovely!
Thank you!
Your hair looks amazing :)))
Thank you so much! I had some fun with it :)
Can we use this for curly hair for curl retention?
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks for sharing! I have a confusion regarding how to measure PH of the final preparation. I have PH strips. Shall I soak it in the preparation itself? Or we need to dilute bit of preparation in water and then measure? This method doesn't seem to be accurate...not sure why those PH strips with their not accurate mesauring even exist if everyone is saying, PH is very important.
I've tried this and substitute a about two ingredients. The texture was smooth and really nice but I got a lot of air bubbles. Is there a way of preventing this?
When replacing the polyquaternium 10 with polyquaternium 7 liquid. When do we add it into the mixture?
I have a question can you use tussah silk instead of hydrolyzed silk?
After washing with shampoo, will I use another conditioner?
👌👌👌👌
Hello
Can cationic guar gum be replaced with guar gum and if you can use guar gum, how many grams do you use?
What is regular guar gum?
I have a bottle of guar gum from now company. Is it work?
Hello, do you sell courses to formulate hair masks? I´d like to get one and.. do you have a backgroud in chemistry or are you just empirical? thank you for making this videos :)
If it use before shampooing. Will the benefits of oils rinse away ?
Hey Marie. Absolutely love your DIYs! Quick question: about panthenol - I'm interested in working with it, so I wanted to know if it dissolves completely in a room temperature water base, or do you have to heat it for it to dissolve?
It will dissolve in room temperature water :)
@@HumblebeeAndMe Wow...cool....thanks for your answer!!
Does this actually work on thick hair as well as it does on thin hair?
I tried making it but lastly when m mixing its getting spoiled gum n water seperations... dont knw what to do
Can we apply it on scalp?infact all your hair mask?
I don't use any kind of gum in anything. Do you have a substitute or is it even necessary??
this a keratin mask? And it will straighten the hair.
hi, I have a question that I can't find an answer to. I've been watching your videos and you're so knowledgeable so I'll ask you. how do I make hydrolozed silk? I have tussah silk that I use in my soaps but I wanna use it in my body care products.
Hydrolyzing silk isn't an at-home DIY thing; you'll need to buy some hydrolyzed silk and save your Tussah silk for soap :)
Hi! Thank you for this video! Question? Is the gum important? And what is it for?
The gum is for thickening the formula. You don't have to use that particular gum, but you would need to use something to thicken the formula.
If you don't want to use guar gum, you could Google different types of thickening agents and experiment with them
Absolutely wonderful mask. Can the coconut oil be replaced with Cocoa butter in this formulation
I'm taking the liberty to give my opinion but I would think so, although you would get a thicker product I think bc cocoa is a lot stiffer than coconut oil. And also, Cocoa butter doesn't penetrate your hair like Coconut Oil does so I personally wouldn't substitute it :) Sunflower oil is another great oil for the hair that really penetrates the hair shaft!
You can try it, but Moutafian's points are correct :) (Thanks, Moutafian!)
Hi Marie & Happy Sunday to ya!
I have looked thru the entire Playlist and cannot find the hair pudding recipe 😕. Help because I think I need that for my hair ❤️
That one isn't on CZcams, it's just on the blog :) www.humblebeeandme.com/search
@@HumblebeeAndMe omgoodness, didn't even dawn on me to do a search 🙄 I always go to your channel!
I do have another question though - have you ever tried an over the counter product called "It's a 10 - leave in conditioner hair potion w/keratin?" It's a pump cream and it does wonders for dry hair. Are any of your recipes similar to that by any chance?
Thank you so much for answering my question!
I have polytinium 7 liquid so how much I can add?? Plz don't say read the blogs post . Tell me here 🤪
yay
❤️
Hi Marie! I have the polyquaternium 10 but is not powder like yours (mine is like a gel), should I use the same proportion?
I'd check with your supplier to find out what the concentration is-it's likely diluted in some amount of water. Once you know the concentration of the solution you can adjust the amount as required. Happy making!
Make some things which can be made by home things
May I skip betaine?
can I add any colorants ? also can I add the fragrance oil after I mix all the other ingredients ^^ ? thanks
Yes you can! Check out this video to learn more: czcams.com/video/Cv4zR5pwR0g/video.html. Happy making!
if I substitute btms 50 with btms 25 will that effect the viscosity/the whole formula although I know it wouldn't be as conditioning
It will; 50 doesn't thicken as much as 25 :)
hello, is cationic guar gum and xanthan gum the same?
No.
Try putting an old towel over your pillow to protect it and sleep easier.... much nicer if you want to do an overnight treatment
Good idea! Knowing me I would end up with it down by my feet, but I bet it works well for less restless sleepers 😄
I want to add keratin powder. But it smells awful and strong. I don't have a problem with the liquid version though. I wonder if you have keratin powder and is that really smelly?
Actually even I was wondering the same ...and yes it does smell I guess but I'm thinking it might be covered by the essential oil that we use ...and anyway I'm not bothered by the smell ...so thinking of adding anyway 😊
I've only ever tried the liquid and wasn't bothered at all by the scent.
Can you do for large quality same that

Hey
I am wondering to know why you add water again and how much we must to add?
I recommend reading the instructions in the partner blog post; you might find the explanation there more clear :) Happy making!
What would be a good replacement to btms
Please look up BTMS in the Humblebee & Me Encyclopedia at www.humblebeeandme.com/diy-encyclopedia/ for substitution suggestions. Happy making!
What is the substitute for btms 50
You'll find the answer to your question in the "Substitutions" section of the partner blog post. It's linked in the description box below the video ;) If you're not sure what that means, read this: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/whats-the-description-box-on-youtube/.

Can you write all the ingredients please to buy them
I always link all the ingredients for any given formulation in the blog post, which is linked in the description box below the video (that's one of the many reasons I highly suggest reading the blog post as well as watching the video! If you're not sure what I mean by the "description box", read this: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/whats-the-description-box-on-youtube/.).
Sometimes those links break because they're always off-site links, or sometimes the store I've linked to isn't in your country. That's why I also have a giant page of places to shop all over the world, which you can find here: www.humblebeeandme.com/resources/. It doesn't have every country in the world, but it does contain all the online stores I know about. If your country isn't listed, that's because I don't know about any online stores in your country. You could try looking for a local Facebook group for people who like making soap & other cosmetics-they may be able to recommend places to shop.

Hello beauty, Why do you add water phase to oil phase?! 🙄
Because they have to be combined, and which phase is poured into which doesn't matter at all here.
@@HumblebeeAndMe tnx a lot for your kindly attention & reply. Coz i c most of this formula add oil phase to water phase but yours is different, i think the texture is more soft creamy once add W/O 👌
Is this mask silicone free?
As per the ingredient list, there are no silicones in this project :)
How long can I preserve this??
Please read through the blog post + the "Preservatives" section of the FAQ (www.humblebeeandme.com/faq/) :)
How much produk you got?

My silk protein smells a lot
Sorry polyqartioum 7
Why would you shampoo out a mask? Your taking all the good stuff back out of your hair and shampoo can dry it out. Generally the way mask work is you shampoo first, put on the mask for a few hours, rinse out and go. 😊
Because if I don't I end up with super greasy, stringy, dirty hair-and after shampooing I still notice benefits :)
Sharon Salzano I know it sounds totally counterintuitive, doesn’t it?! But as a fellow fine-haired lass, I can attest to what Marie is saying.
There’s actually a ton of pre-shampoo masks available commercially so there is a market there, albeit perhaps more niche than a traditional mask. They’re really more about strengthening and protecting your hair vs moisturizing per se which is one of the main benefits of a “final step” hair mask.
I’ve used some commercial ones before - here’ are some examples if you’re interested. They’re usually marketed as “pre-shampoo treatments” to avoid confusion but a lot of them are essentially just richer masks and w/ ingredients that penetrate the hair shaft (like coconut oil in Marie’s formulation) so some of the goodness you’re putting on remains post-shampoo:
