Hey man, been creeping your videos for a year now! I've had a crazy idea 3 years ago and now seeing how far you got with those edfs, its definitely possible with 3 of your 40kg edfs! I was wondering if you can sell the propeller and the engine by it self ! How much would that cost ? Also what kind of esc are u using here ? Thank you !

Totally Great Product... working it into some very cool projects here that would use these. Just a heads up... that amp meter is TOTALLY conneted wrong. You can not physically get a real measurement with that connection configuration.
You certainly could install a generator on there, but you would only charge the batteries while in descending and/or decelerating flight by windmilling the EDF and capturing some of that energy. For most applications, that would not be a beneficial setup to have.
I didn't understand your question, but, talking about 12V speed controller, you need a speed controller for at least 120VDC, this is the nominal voltage, with 12V you will reach 10% of full power.

I like the compactness of edf's....however it seems props can't be beaten on efficiency, it takes a fraction of the power to get the same thrust...that's the only weakness of edf. Maybe if you double the fans you can get more thrust for the same power.
Space is also a consideration for so many design applications. You could put one of these in the body of a glider and have vents that open on the sides for a very clean glidable platform with self launch capabilities, and need very little in the way of complexities associated with fold away props. It would also be pretty cool to build an ultralight F-22 out of foam and aluminum.

Yes indeed the measurement is not precise enough, but now we use another precise system
sounds like you are getting 3.2 lbf of thrust per 1.0 eHP, this is acceptable, though I was hoping for more than 132 lbf at 32kW

It have 60Hp, direct converted. The time depends of the tipe of battery you are using. At full throttle ti drain around 440A @ 105V. Enjoy!

Ducted propellers (propellers not edf) are crazy effective, not vey compact
