Silksong is not our most anticipated Metroidvania of 2023. Before everyone starts to pull out their pitchforks, Silksong looks amazing and even though Team Cherry look to be iterating in plenty of ways over the original, it should still feel like a Team Cherry game and that’s something that we know.
What’s exciting is brand new experiences from brand new studios that are trying to make a name for themselves. This is where Plot Twist and their debut title, The Last Case of Benedict Fox comes into the picture.
Outside of Silksong, what is your most anticipated Metroidvania of 2023?

Looks like it'd be fun, but Silksong still has more traction because of the name that Hollow Knight gave it
Silksong has a 99% chance of being amazing, but I’m expecting that. The story and theme of Benedict Fox strongly has my attention. Can’t wait to play both.

Silksong is likely going to be an amazing game and we know that. I am very excited for an occult Metroidvania from a new team trying to make a name for themselves. I can’t wait for Silksong either.

To me it is the Perfect Pencil.
It looks interesting and I’m sure it’d be a good game in its own way, but Silksong will definitely have more attention from the existing fanbase of hollow knight not to mention all the combat features and just how beautiful the world and soundtrack is. You really can’t compare metrolevania games together seeing how diverse the genres are
