The only reason i would wish to go back in time to high school, is to relive these days of Mac Millers Blue Slide Park album, getting stoned and living the most purest life of a teenager with big dreams driving through my hometown with my best friends in my old 70s beetle, this album as the soundtrack. At the time i never appreciated those days as much as i do now, 10 years later. Thank you Malcolm for the soundtrack to many of my silly, amazing, unforgettable teenage memories.

The criticism Mac got from this album turned him onto drugs like lean. He was 19 fucking years old and critics were attacking him personally, trying to brand him as just a "Frat Rapper." This album is a 10/10 compared to newer artists albums at 19.
Thank you. Honestly, I was like, this album went so hard and I had so many good memories made with this young man, singing in the background. Memories that are both good and bad, sure, but I wouldn’t want them any different. I miss Mac so much. He was one of the few real artists who didn’t deserve all the inner flack he gave himself, nor the outward criticisms. He was a fire individual.
This is a great take. BSP was his last batch of truly happy/innocent music…I believe Mac spent the next few years rebelling against the sound of this album.
