As someone who's known that they have ADHD since they were 7, I really appreciate hearing someone acknowledge it as an actual existing disorder instead of an excuse for being 'stupid'.
This, doubled with NF's mentions of OCD in Leave Me Alone actually make me (somewhat) proud to be neurodivergent. Hearing artists even just mention these things make me so happy. (I feel like this really says something about society's tendency to ignore neurodivergencies that aren't autism.) (and even then, ASD still has very little positive representation.)

I’ve been looking for this song for almost a year and I’m glad I found it, cause it’s so good and it kinda makes me tear up. The only line I keep was the last one and it was so good. It’s interesting to see how this past year had changed in my life and this song just pulls out the “human” in life. We don’t last that long. We have to keep moving. Just roll with the punches and we determine what makes us us. Ed sheeran can’t write all our songs. Some one can’t make our progress. STORY TIME: Our school have all of the 7 grade+ kids chrome books to use. Of course with any school related thing it had almost everything that wasn’t cool math games and anything that wasn’t about algebra blocked. So when I was on CZcams looking for music this was one of the only songs that was unblocked. I listened to this then Come Hangout which was also unblocked and I fell in love. I looked them up on my phone right when I got home and listened to this album constantly. Not to mention this was in a particularly bad part of my life. My dad has been diagnosed with Cancer and he’s still battling it (the end is soon for him, so just pray that it’s not that soon) and I went into a deep depression. I wasn’t talking to anyone even my closest friends. Listening to this album gave me mor confidence than I ever had for some reason. I don’t know if it was the lyrics, the beat, or just the general vibe of the album but it worked. I ended up being so confident that I actually asked out my crush and she said yes. I became closer with more people. People who I never talked to and ever my best friend who I would do anything for. Not to mention the community it gave me. I can connect with anyone who like AJR. I feel like we’re part of a bigger family. I will be forever grateful for what AJR has done for my life. They’ve given me confidence I never knew I had. I have no idea where I would be without them. Considering how I was then, probably more depressed than ever and considering the unimaginable now. I love you guys so much I don’t know what would’ve happened. You saved my life.
