  • This is Why FC BARCELONA Want to Sign a NO-NAME from CHAMPIONSHIP
Barcelona has shocked the world of football!
The Catalan club wants to buy an absolute no-name from the EFL Championship!
The name of this guy, who unexpectedly even for himself captured everyone's attention is JADEN PHILOGENE!
His story could be a script for the Goal! movie franchise - this guy was close to ending his career at a young age, but he didn't give up on his dream of becoming a professional footballer, and now Barcelona want to sign him!
    OH. MY. GOD!
So sit back - Jaden will shock you! Here we go!
PHILOGENE INSTEAD OF NICO WILLIAMS: Is this a joke?
When it was reported that Barcelona were in talks with Hull City over Jaden Philogene, the football world was in disbelief at first.
How so? Do Barca need a player from the Championship?
Indeed, this insider information from journalist Alberto Martinez was surprising!
But the more Barcelona fans and ordinary football lovers learned about the winger, the more they were convinced - WHY NOT?
This could be one of the most sensational transfers of this summer!
So, in his article on the Relevo portal, Alberto tells us how the Jaden option came about:
"Barcelona are having a hard time reaching an agreement with Nico Williams and his club, Athletic Bilbao. The club has problems with the 1:1 rule, and so Barca were looking for a plan B to be safe, and that's how the option with Philogene came about. If they need to pay €58 million for Nico, then in this case the Catalans can agree on a loan with an option to buy."
Another Relevo journalist, Jordi Cardero, gathered even more insider information on the potential transfer,
'Barcelona understand that Philogene is a 'market opportunity'. Jaden fits the profile the club is looking for: "a 'killer' in the one-on-one game and a footballer who can play in tight spaces."
The option with Philogene is not a chaotic move. Barcelona have been scouting the player for months now, with scouts sending the club the most positive reports possible.
"Jaden Philogene is currently seen as an economic alternative in the transfer market."
The fact that Barcelona are interested in such no-name players is the club's NEW TRANSFER STRATEGY, a prime example of which is Mikayil Faye, who is currently being sold to Porto for between €10 and €15 million. In the summer of 2023, the Catalans paid €1.5 million for the 18-year-old centre back of Croatian second-tier NK Kustosija. The essence of this policy is to stay ahead of other top clubs’ scouting services and find promising players who can be resold at any time for more than they were purchased.
A sort of low-risk signings! Just what you need for such a precarious financial situation that FC Barcelona are currently in!
However, if you've already watched or will watch the player's highlights, you ‘ve already realized or will realize that this guy can be a REAL SENSATION!
Jaden Philogene is a potential star!
Jaden Philogene has earned the attention of Barcelona scouts for good reason, as last season was the most successful of his career: 2814 minutes, 33 matches, 12 goals and 6 assists!
So far, this is the peak of the London native's career: he spent the 22/23 season with Cardiff City and his statistics were much weaker - 2388 minutes, 39 matches, 5 goals and 1 assist
The English winger spent the 21/22 season at Aston Villa and Stoke City after an unsuccessful stint in Birmingham, where he took part in only 10 matches in half a season, only 1 of which was in the EPL. Things didn't go well at Stoke too - 11 matches and only 1 goal
Before that, Philogene mostly played at the youth level with Villa
The 23/24 season was a breakthrough - Jaden was one of the leaders of Hull City, which finished the season 7th
The Tigers' coach used Philogene as a left and right midfielder in a 4-4-2 formation; when the team switched to a 4-3-3, Jaden mostly played as a left winger and only once played as a right winger
Based on this, the optimal position for him is the left winger - in total, he played 21 matches in that spot last season, scoring 10 goals and providing 3 assists - while 2 goals and 3 assists came from the right wing
So, it becomes obvious why Barcelona wants this guy: fast, explosive, two-footed, has excellent dribbling and finishing - sometimes scores incredible masterpieces, such as his rabona goal against Rotherham United, which is already being called one of the contenders for this year's Puskas award
Jaden likes to cut inside, dribble, play short passes and tackle. His explosive play leads to the fact that opponents, not knowing what to do with him, often foul him. In short, Philogene is a very unpleasant opponent for any defender! Fast, decisive and very motivated
If Barcelona could sign the player on loan + option to buy, it would be a great deal for the Catalans. Jaden could be a fantastic backup option for the main left winger, or eventually win the competition and become the main winger

Stop spreading rumors. Barca did has an interest in him but he is prioritising a Premier League move. He said his dream is to play Barca but at the moment he wants to play in the Premier League. For your kind information, Barcelona haven’t sold Mikhayl Faye to FC Porto. The deal with porto is off now.

If this is the plan and an on purpose plan, to scout for the underdogs snatch them for almost nothing and bolster the squad just like with Mika... Then I don't see any flaw in it. But if the plan is to make it our number one option, that is leave established players for underdogs who we aren't sure of, then that'll be a mistake

Bro barca's current financial situation is way better than previous years. We are well recovered but right now barca can't use camp nou because of its rebuilding it cost around 100 million loss in total revenue but it's a temporary issue. Right now barca is on verge of 1:1 financial situation. If barca sell both raphina and Ferran Torres barca can easily sign nico Williams and also Jaden is loan move if he isn't good barca won't sign him I think he would a great signing for barca. If barca both nico Williams and Jaden barca has Nico William, ansu fati, jaden and lamine yamal as 4 wingers and also barca has Dani Rodriguez and barca can sign Ibrahim diarra for 5 million.
