I support Milan and I was a child back then, I recognize my team was actually helped by the referee. Anyway, we did pay a price for this undeserved victory, since the following Sunday we lost the Italian title because of the tiredness we had accumulated against Leeds, we lost 5-3 to Verona, whereas Juventus won 2-1 away against Rome and could overtake us by 1 point in the general classification.

Finally, even if I don't like governments from former eastern europe, they intervened to force Greek to have a different government from the one they had regularly elected, as it had happened in Spanish civil war. When you carry on to bring violence in a country you freed , the thanks of the population soon disappear

Infamous game. Why didn't this get called out at the time? There should be a retrospective enquiry as to why UEFA so missed the reasons this result should not have stood. The penalty incident with Mick Jones was blatant. I've read some other comments on this video (and others on the same game), and there are still those who applaud this result. The referee is quite clearly pro AC Milan. True Champions usually prefer a fair fight. All AC Milan have on their history books is the win, the trophy and prize fund, helped by a clearly biased referee. Shame.

The victory of Milan in Greece in 1973 was just that; a single goal and strong defense thereafter and we too had our chances and possibilities to score and close the games before and our goalkeeper repulsed everything; moreover in that final and in a semifinal o some years before, as the British players didn't manage to score successfully , the italian goalkeeper was kicked in all the ways by them so that he would be physically compelled to overcome the line with the ball already in his hands, that's called just foul on goalkeeper that's all, catenaccio is it good only when tottenham comes to S, sIRO IN 2011 TO ELIMINATE AC MILAN BUT ITS WRONG When the British lose the cup of winners cup ?????????????????????????? the shame is elsewhere not in this game.

    • @Faber9722
      @Faber9722 Před 5 lety

Leeds has played very well. They had had also good occasions and opportunities to score, but our goalkeeper has saved his goal more than once. He saved his goal every time the english players approached it. But our players too might have closed the game before. But also this is a part of the truth. When Vecchi saved once, the English players were angry from frustration, and while Vecchi kept the ball he had taken , after repulsing a shoot, the English players kicked him, while he was still down on the soil of football pitch . Only the other mates of Milan saved him from the wrath of the Leeds players for the lacked goal. Whenever there has been someone falling in the penalty area in the history of football, all the players of the world have been protesting for penalties. but it doesn't mean they were regular penalties. Besides, at the end of the match, Rivera simply wrenched the ball from the adversary but he didn't commit any violent act, whereas the English footballer attacked him from the back and he pushed him down. The referee had to toil very much in order to send away the English player, who had struck Rivera from behind, whereas Sogliano left the football pitch without any protests, because he had recognized his mistake. The English player hid himself behind the mates to avoid being sent away. but the referee was not silly and he did not have himself fooled. Greetings. Happy Christmas.

I'm not a Leeds fan but they were cheated in this match. That ref was clearly biased towards Milan.

🤔Leeds were always cheated. Same boring story against Bayern in 1975.
Leeds were a filthy side who nobody, apart from their thick, thug fans, liked.
