- Making knife from piece of W1-7 high carbon steel and handle from pretty stone that I found at the yard. The stone framed with patinated brass. There I try to show all steps how to make this knife in the video.

I have seen a lot of knives and I've seen a lot of knives being made and I've even seen a few with handles that have stone but this is the most original and interesting way of implementing Stone I've ever seen

Great idea for a knife. I once saw a Japanese knife with a malachite and turquoise handle finished with ebony, now that was something.

Every time you touched that stone with a tool, my stress level went up. I could see it cracking so easily. You have such nonchalant precision though…
He literally only sanded and polished it, it was never going to crack...
You did an amazing job!!! Can you explain the process you used to treat the brass?? What was that cloud of smoke in the beaker??
It is not a tiger eye or smokey quartz for sure. Agate or striped jasper are closer. But honestly i think it is a commen stone found in nature. I’ve got a couple of found stone in my collection and don’t know what they are called. That’s my guess 🤓
