I have a JJRC X11 which I like but this is like an X11 brought up to 2023 technical standards ie better stability, software, camera, GPS etc etc. If you are happy with a drone over 250gm, this sounds an excellent buy.
Not budget imo
It's a bit like a DJI model a few years ago that was pieced together with spare parts😅😅

Well done Captain!!! (on 2 x fronts!) there is arguably no other Drone reviewer that continues to evaluate new releases (and hopefully a retrospective, lets say, a Spark!!! ;sorry, had to put that in!!!) regardless of the weather and time of year, plus, we are all looking at the latest upgrades to the budget drones and you thankfully, provide these; the video ("warm version"!!) actually looked quite good on the SJRC...................
I got my first SJRC F 11, on your say so. Tiny little camera, adjusted with your finger, the next model had a bigger camera wheel tilt. Which I stripped the cogs trying to adjust with the finger. Replaced the part costless thank dollar for two. The last one has a gimbal camera. I still have them and a white one too.

Pretty cool drone. I've not been flying in a year or so but this is making me start thinking about getting back into it. I think I like this better than the Bugs 16 which I was really liking when it came out and this is cheaper!

Thats a fair piece of kit considering the low cost - The mincing mode didn't seem to function so well but overall it performed admirably - Great battery range

seeing its a budget drone, it is still pretty amazing that it comes with just about every feature. You need a heated jacket. They work pretty damn good. I got the ororo, it definitely helps. Heated gloves are nice too.
I have one they are OK but really bundle up and you'll be good

Steve's neighbors are on their best behavior ! Wouldn't want them to be subjected on the "follow me " mode! Plus- he can inspect their rain gutters !

Ps remember this tip you gave us. To stop camera shake, wedge a small piece of soft sponge between camera and body. It worked.
will it affect the gimbal work?
@@LafinDaily I think it only would work on 2 axis gimbals (like this one) A 3 axis gimbal would turn around, and have no space for the sponge.
@@LafinDaily it works. bath sponge very soft 8 or 10mm square 20mm long placed length ways and central. only in strong winds.

wow i had F11 before sold it last year. Pretty decent camera Sjrc put in, I really like the image color. Now F22s continued the legacy with so much improvements. Best budget drone i would say
Cfly has better value for the money and more "polished" with its features

This is the first comparable priced drone that I've seen that is actually competitive with the Mini SE. The camera looks great and it seems like the extra features work fairly well.
The C-FLY Faith 2S is better than the F22s, in almost every way, except it doesn't have obstacle avoidance. The Faith 2s has a much better range of over 4 miles also.

@@sagemajka4871 I'm brand new to drones, but I went with the F22 because it said it had 2.4G for the remote whereas the C-FLY 2 said it had 5G...and I have an older phone with 2.4G. I'm hoping I didn't misunderstand something...because now I've been reading some reviews saying they had trouble connecting their Samsung phone. :/

Neat. Drones break, go wrong. How good is the backup service? Spares available for the user? That would be a major factor in which drone I would choose.
Yes. This drone is awesome. It would be nice if they adjust the colors because since F11 the images and video have a little purple or bluish tone. Very light but that is one of the things I would upgrade as sjrc for the next gen. Great videos Man !

I think you might have swapped the battery reading when you said it still had 66% left...that was for the transmitter, the drone battery level was in the red in that same shot. Other than that, another great vid, thanks for braving the cold to shoot it!

Nice new budget drone from SJRC. I think even the camera looks pretty good, if it wasn't the middle of our frigid Canadian winter. I wonder how many of us got their start in this hobby with an SJRC or MJX drone?

Really nice reviews, comparing the budget drones you tested, would you recommend the F22s over the KF101 MAX. As a beginner, I think the obstacle avoidance is a favorable feature, right?

How's the latency on it? i.e. would it be appropriate for simple FPV flying (meaning not shooting gaps at full speed)
Camera drones are fine to fly FPV as long as you don’t fly too low

Maybe you can do an update on this drone. Since the new firmware 3.2.6 you can disable the OA in every flying mode. This comes in handy when you are in open area's and short to the ground. The OA wobbling when the drone tilts forward when flying at low altitudes is gone. With this new OA disable option, this budget entry drone, with all the fancy features that you only find on the big brand top models, is the best bang for the buck in my opinion.

Does the OA work on RTH? The only time I’ve needed it is when the drone is somewhere at the RTH kicked in automatically (signal loss or low battery). This is when it might fly into a tree. My DJI mini 2 will climb to an altitude, but when it’s close it doesn’t. So it might just fly into a tree. So I’m interested I the drone knowing it can’t move forward and tell me to intervene. Does it work like this on this drone?

I looked for the function but I did not find it in the manual, can you confirm that it takes a short press on the RTH button to activate the spots under the drone? And do you have vibrations when you raise and lower the camera? Thanks for your help, John Peter.
Long press to activate lights. Yes, there were vibrations in this review video when the camera went up/down.

The F22s is a Re-branded Holy Stone HS600 with Obstacle Avoidance.
The HS600 has landing lights, the design is identical, and the batteries are fully compatible. The controllers are different. The F22s controller looks more in comparison with the DJI Mini 2.
I have a Fimi X8 SE 2020, DJI Mini 2, HS600, and the F22s. The F22s comes a close third in that line up.
Hi Captain , we don't see any difference despite the shaking on the Camera, it looks really good still , nice one Captain my only thing with these Drones , the price has to be considerably different than what you can get a Mini-2, SE or Mavic Mini for , I personally would buy one of these but it would be hard to pay anything close to the price of the above products I mentioned , that's all . Thanks for the review. Noob as I be, I started with the KF101 after seeing the Captain's review on top 5 budget drones. It's not bad. I smacked it around branches and rocks from the get-go. As a result, the lens screen/shield has developed a "cataract"/smudge effect that I have not been able to get off with gentle cleaning. The subtle surface erosion looks like dirt on that surface. My question to the Captain: is this a terminal condition for the camera -OR- could the lens cover be popped off (leaving the lens exposed) -OR- is this a "maintenance" item that could be replaced? For the KF101, being super budget, I have not seen this part as an option. I ask this question hoping to fix this drone but also to know whether I could address this very predicament on other drones (like this F22s) whose camera lens assembly looks identical to that of the KF101 and many other drones. Cheers!
A smudge, scratch on the lens is usually not removable unless polished with a special tool. If the lens cover is FLAT then my guess is it can be removed, but if you see any curverature to is, then it is part of the camera lens. Parts are rarely ever available in the budget drone category and even less in the expensive pro drone category for the simple reason that companies either want to repair them themselves, and charge you, or they want you to toss them away and get another. Only suggestion is to look on used websites and perhaps find a crashed one that is a PARTS FOR SALE item.
I would love to see a comparison between this drone and the original mavic mini!

I was extremely impressed with your demo and the review......very clear and detailed......it impressed me so much I just went and ordered one, I've always wanted one and a year ago I bought a cheepie (no camera) but it was so unstable it stayed in my study not even a good one for flying experience........the price for all the features was relatively inexpensive at A$450 with 2 batteries.......I was very impressed by the 4K photo quality, and it will open up a whole vista of opportunities to get pictures of the local scene from way up high.........the range and flight time was very impressive too.......now I'll be able to track my cats when they disappear on their morning stroll......if this is considered a budget drone I wonder what a semiprofessional one performs like and the price etc.
