You should've mentioned that body blocking for you teammate should only be done if you feel like your teammate is going to go down very soon! I had so many games where I had several save pallets close by and one of my teammates is tried to take a hit, when it's totally not needed

As a killer main I love when survivors try to body block me / take a hit for other survivor. In like 90% of cases when that happen I end up hooking 2 ppl instead of just 1 :D
It depends on how good your teammates are. If you have good teammates doing gens, and getting crap done, then it's bad for the killer. Because they'll most likely just get one person. However if your teammates are garbage, then it's not a big deal for the killer. It sure does make the game go on longer but it's no big deal for the killer.

@@haidertrash9544 and absolutely relying on add-ons, where I just got a match with a legion that put one other survivor on a hook, then I got chased down repeatedly for no reason at all, then got killed because they had iridescent button and presumably cold dirt, along with them stabbing someone in F.F. then magically just to find lil ol me not even near a gen, got a team that only did ONE generator the entire time; also hard to loop whenever on Lery’s map because of how confusing it is, couldn’t find shit for good pallets either

Usually when I see somebody unhook a survivor close to me I just slug them and then chase the one who unhooked. That way I create map pressure and buy myself a little time while still giving them a chance to get back up. I just dont see the point of punishing the person on the hook for something that isnt even their fault.
I do exactly the same. I always wondered why there wasn't a penalty or slight debuff for the survivor intentionally unhooking someone close to the killer. I guess that would render BT completely useless, though.

Did it once to an object of obsession, Flashlight wielding, teabag-destroying, provokative Nea when I got the 4 k and just t-bagged her at the hook for 3 secs before leaving her to die, after completely ignoring her desperate attempts to get me to chase her. Damn that was funny, especially the salt in EGC because she and her SWF tried to roast me afterwards for ,,Tunneling" as if they could tell me how to play the game while running all the meta in the world xD

I know it’s not “meta”, but Breakdown is a great way to discourage killers from wanting to rehook you. If the hook spawns are in your favor, you run to the corner when you are about to die. If you run back to the corner when you are unhooked, there is a much higher chance they won’t be able to rehook you without using wiggle perks (Agi, Iron Grasp) due to the now lack of hooks in the area.
I was playing the game with a spirit and she hated me so much for being good at the game she waited to kill me instead of the injured person saving me. I didn’t teabag I tried to be respectful before I watched this video. Then called me trash when I literally died on my first hook. I honestly don’t feel a reason to be respectful to killers.
Question: should you go for ruin or just do gens or a mix of both? I cant tell you how many games ive had where a mix of teammates will either look for ruin and avoid gens or only do gens and not ruin, also can you make a video timing how long it takes to do all gens without ruin, with ruin and only hitting good skill checks and one with a mix of good and great skill checks?
Commercial Critique Always do gens! The faster you get used to consistently hitting greats, the faster you get to a point where Ruin doesn't matter to you anymore. Never search for it and only cleanse if you see the totem!
If I see all my teammates running around looking for ruin with bond, I always ask myself if the matchmaking system put me in a low rank lobby. Always do gens! Gens are heavily RNG based and a lot of the time you’ll only get like around 8 skill checks which is really nothing. Ruin is only super effective if the survivors stop the main objective entirely to focus on finding the totem, making finding the totem the primary objective instead of gens. If more people knew that they should just focus on gens and get more consistent at hit hex skill checks, ruin would be a lot less effective than it is now.
Unless of course it's The Nurse. If she wants to tunnel you can't do much about it. I agree with your definition of tunneling, so many entitled survivors just don't know the definition of tunneling
I'm new to the game, it was gifted to me and I love it, I only play killer, cause I don't feel like playing a survivor ever, but the problem is All survivors or at at least 85% of them are toxic, teabaging and whatsoever it is called to piss off the killer and this game so I turn it back on them and after a while I saw videos that it was called something like that... For hell's sake toxic survivors actually deserve it, now I know.
Constant flashlight clicking is the best way to get me to completely ignore you, because you're not doing gens and clearly want to be chased. But if you still somehow end up on a hook, I'll make sure to keep you company until that timer runs out lol
I mean from my experience the "Don't be toxic to the killer and they probably won't to you" thing doesn't get through to many survivors since they never learn in any of my games lmao Also here's a pro tip, don't look the same as you're whole team. You might think it's confusing but then when you get tunneled accidentally don't start bitching about it
I always run Decisive Strike which is basically a counter to Tunnelling. Also deliverance is really good if you’ve been tunnelled and get hooked, running these together is 🔥
Love your videos and your tips! I swear I get tunneling a lot and I tend to get angry when the match ended. I tend to curse at the killer a bit but now seeing so I should try and be more respectful at the killer as well even though their playstyle is so scummy.
Wow respect As a killer main when a survivor typically has a flashlight and constantly t-bags my ethics are thrown out the window and I will do anything necessary to make sure they die. Although it is a blurred line for some between tunneling and going for the Only injured survivor rather than wasting a precious hit. Nice endgame lesson
We tunnel because we can't get that 1 player who is too darn good. Now the game is solely about getting that 1 person... that's it. There is no discouraging us because what we do makes no sense, but it's gratifying. Thanks for making this video. It was fun watching. :)
As a killer main, I think that the seventh strategy is the best one. If survivors I encounter are respectful, then I'll be respectful, I've even taken a few downed survivors to the hatch just because they were kind and didn't insist on tea bagging me whenever they dropped a pallet or stunned me.
What would be the greatest way to start a dbd video about tunneling? Giving the real definition of that word? Of course not! This video should have started with "gg ez"; "noob killer" and other survivors' kind messages. Good strats tho. Some are obvious, but are being thrown out the window way too often. As for the FFX OST you used, there's only one thing to say: you are a high survivor. (i hope some of you will get the joke...although i'm not sure it's a great one...)
@Brian Noland Never said it was effective, just that killers who facecamp are likely to tunnel down the injured person should somebody manage to unhook them. Which is probably what happened to "Nintendo Fan" here, hence why he wrote that comment.
@Brian Noland its a loss for the survivors too; none of them get to play the game and if they gen rush in that situation assuming they KNOW hes fscecamping in the basement from the get-go, the gens wont be completed fast enough to stop tbeir noed proc being useful given that the person on the hook will die by then and 9 times out of 10 theyll justifiably kill themselves anyway.

I love how you played Leatherface to tunnel/camp. I have yet to meet a Leatherface who doesn't play in the most obnoxious way possible. I never camp as Killer, except when peeps teabag.
I personally have a build of windows of oppurtunity, dead hard, urban evasion, and selfheal. I like seeing every single option of escape while I'm doing gens, and so I will usually drop a pallet on them, and then as I running away, I'll stop and start urban evasioning away in a different direction. They usually try and look for me in a certain direction but I'm usually already a mile away.
Tired of people making all survivors out to be assholes all the time. If they bother you that much then just become a survivor main. Otherwise, recognize that some killers are extremely toxic as well and get on with life.
As a killer main, I do have a formula for when and why I tunnel. If I see a bloody prestige Laurie with a flashlight in lobby, for example, there's a very high chance her build is centered around making my job as difficult as possible. It's only logical that I kill her first, bringing an ivory mori if I see fit. If I decide to tunnel mid-game instead of lobby, I probably encountered a flashlight hero, or hook breaker, and decide to get that thorn out of my ass as early as possible. I also ensure key/map holders die in the basement if possible, to make recovering their item more difficult. In short, to avoid being tunneled, do your best to avoid making yourself look like a threat or someone who interferes with my objective. At least with me.

This is a rare case though, but if the killer is like "ok I'll tunnel you again later cause you're too good with those jukes, I'll just hook the shit of your team mate instead to bait you" Then you can perform a safe hook, body block your team mate, there you go, Deliverence perk is activated and you can escape as long as you don't get facecamp hook. So Deliverence perk strategy still a good option

Chasing one survivor the whole game is called tunnel vision, not to be confused with tunneling which is focusing solely on one person even if it hurts your odds of winning. I see a lot of people call tunnel vision tunneling when its not, as painreliever said.
In my games even if you be a respectful survivor you still get hatemail lol. PS4 DBD is a different world sadly and killers usually think they're entitled for a four man kill. But the advice in this video is helpful and appreciated.

There was this one time when a rank 1 hillbilly with ultra rare add-ons decided to tunnel rank 11 me, he didn't linger at the hook but he yeeted himself across the map so fast that he was there when downing me was possible again. He did that every time, abandoning ongoing chases in that process. I mean I guess he just wanted to have some fun with his build but it's a horrible experience if you're the target, yet by simply leaving the game you'll risk getting banned and you also ruin the game for your mates because he can pick a new one to tunnel. Sadly there's not much you can do about situations like that but I guess it's too specific to have a way to deal with it (especially if you play in solo)

This is the video i have been waiting for. I get found immediately and tunneled immediately every goddamn time i play, no matter if i play toxic flashlight teabagging Nea or P3 immersed toolbox claudette. I always have to run tank builds, like the one i have on David (borrowed time, dead hard, unbreakable and what i hope will eventually be mettle of man)
Our favorite SWF strategy is if you ignore a healthy survivor to tunnel the injured one that was just hooked, we will make the game last 45-60 minutes, or until you rage quit.
For anyone thinking About using the deliverance perk just note that you need to make a safe hook rescue to be able to activate it and you also go in broken state for around 60 seconds!
My personal favourite strategy is to ‘be bad and die straight away so I can’t be tunneled’. It’s pretty effective imo

@@devilmanxx3266 there's no such thing as "all killers" I play both survivor and killer, as a killer, I try to play fairly, but obviously I still want to win. As a survivor, I don't usually pull out dirty tricks unless we're failing really badly. (Two people dead and 4 gens left or whatever) I still think you should respect both sides because it's hard to be a killer. And it's hard to be a survivor

I'm a killer main and I hate it when people accuse me of tunneling just because I targeted injured survivors first logically as they the closest and easiest prey, but then even if I were to tunnel there's tons of ways to counter it, its just a gamestyle and ppl get angry at it because they don't know how to play against tunneling lmao, thank you!!
don’t you love having the killer camp you on hook then somehow lose you, then proceed to chase you for a bunch of time, pick you up, let you wiggle out, still chase you for more time, and then finally kill you and camp you to death
I know it’s not “meta”, but Breakdown is a great way to discourage killers from wanting to rehook you. If the hook spawns are in your favor, you run to the corner when you are about to die. If you run back to the corner when you are unhooked, there is a much higher chance they won’t be able to rehook you without using wiggle perks (Agi, Iron Grasp) due to the now lack of hooks in the area.
You forgot to include how to emotionally deal with tunneling
I was playing the game with a spirit and she hated me so much for being good at the game she waited to kill me instead of the injured person saving me. I didn’t teabag I tried to be respectful before I watched this video. Then called me trash when I literally died on my first hook. I honestly don’t feel a reason to be respectful to killers.

Question: should you go for ruin or just do gens or a mix of both? I cant tell you how many games ive had where a mix of teammates will either look for ruin and avoid gens or only do gens and not ruin, also can you make a video timing how long it takes to do all gens without ruin, with ruin and only hitting good skill checks and one with a mix of good and great skill checks?
Commercial Critique Always do gens! The faster you get used to consistently hitting greats, the faster you get to a point where Ruin doesn't matter to you anymore. Never search for it and only cleanse if you see the totem!
Yeah... When Im solo queing, I see all my teammates looking for the ruin instead of doing gens way too often
Commercial Critique it depends on how often you get skill checks.
If I see all my teammates running around looking for ruin with bond, I always ask myself if the matchmaking system put me in a low rank lobby. Always do gens! Gens are heavily RNG based and a lot of the time you’ll only get like around 8 skill checks which is really nothing. Ruin is only super effective if the survivors stop the main objective entirely to focus on finding the totem, making finding the totem the primary objective instead of gens. If more people knew that they should just focus on gens and get more consistent at hit hex skill checks, ruin would be a lot less effective than it is now.
Commercial Critique focus gens but look a lil bit in the area for ruin your time is precious

I'm new to the game, it was gifted to me and I love it, I only play killer, cause I don't feel like playing a survivor ever, but the problem is All survivors or at at least 85% of them are toxic, teabaging and whatsoever it is called to piss off the killer and this game so I turn it back on them and after a while I saw videos that it was called something like that... For hell's sake toxic survivors actually deserve it, now I know.

Constant flashlight clicking is the best way to get me to completely ignore you, because you're not doing gens and clearly want to be chased.
But if you still somehow end up on a hook, I'll make sure to keep you company until that timer runs out lol
I mean from my experience the "Don't be toxic to the killer and they probably won't to you" thing doesn't get through to many survivors since they never learn in any of my games lmao
Also here's a pro tip, don't look the same as you're whole team. You might think it's confusing but then when you get tunneled accidentally don't start bitching about it

I always run Decisive Strike which is basically a counter to Tunnelling. Also deliverance is really good if you’ve been tunnelled and get hooked, running these together is 🔥

Love your videos and your tips! I swear I get tunneling a lot and I tend to get angry when the match ended. I tend to curse at the killer a bit but now seeing so I should try and be more respectful at the killer as well even though their playstyle is so scummy.

As a killer main when a survivor typically has a flashlight and constantly t-bags my ethics are thrown out the window and I will do anything necessary to make sure they die.
Although it is a blurred line for some between tunneling and going for the Only injured survivor rather than wasting a precious hit.

We tunnel because we can't get that 1 player who is too darn good. Now the game is solely about getting that 1 person... that's it. There is no discouraging us because what we do makes no sense, but it's gratifying. Thanks for making this video. It was fun watching. :)

As a killer main, I think that the seventh strategy is the best one. If survivors I encounter are respectful, then I'll be respectful, I've even taken a few downed survivors to the hatch just because they were kind and didn't insist on tea bagging me whenever they dropped a pallet or stunned me.
What would be the greatest way to start a dbd video about tunneling? Giving the real definition of that word? Of course not! This video should have started with "gg ez"; "noob killer" and other survivors' kind messages. Good strats tho. Some are obvious, but are being thrown out the window way too often.
As for the FFX OST you used, there's only one thing to say: you are a high survivor. (i hope some of you will get the joke...although i'm not sure it's a great one...)

@Brian Noland Never said it was effective, just that killers who facecamp are likely to tunnel down the injured person should somebody manage to unhook them. Which is probably what happened to "Nintendo Fan" here, hence why he wrote that comment.
@Brian Noland its a loss for the survivors too; none of them get to play the game and if they gen rush in that situation assuming they KNOW hes fscecamping in the basement from the get-go, the gens wont be completed fast enough to stop tbeir noed proc being useful given that the person on the hook will die by then and 9 times out of 10 theyll justifiably kill themselves anyway.

I personally have a build of windows of oppurtunity, dead hard, urban evasion, and selfheal. I like seeing every single option of escape while I'm doing gens, and so I will usually drop a pallet on them, and then as I running away, I'll stop and start urban evasioning away in a different direction. They usually try and look for me in a certain direction but I'm usually already a mile away.

As a killer main, I do have a formula for when and why I tunnel. If I see a bloody prestige Laurie with a flashlight in lobby, for example, there's a very high chance her build is centered around making my job as difficult as possible. It's only logical that I kill her first, bringing an ivory mori if I see fit. If I decide to tunnel mid-game instead of lobby, I probably encountered a flashlight hero, or hook breaker, and decide to get that thorn out of my ass as early as possible. I also ensure key/map holders die in the basement if possible, to make recovering their item more difficult.
In short, to avoid being tunneled, do your best to avoid making yourself look like a threat or someone who interferes with my objective. At least with me.

Then you can perform a safe hook, body block your team mate, there you go, Deliverence perk is activated and you can escape as long as you don't get facecamp hook. So Deliverence perk strategy still a good option

Chasing one survivor the whole game is called tunnel vision, not to be confused with tunneling which is focusing solely on one person even if it hurts your odds of winning. I see a lot of people call tunnel vision tunneling when its not, as painreliever said.

In my games even if you be a respectful survivor you still get hatemail lol. PS4 DBD is a different world sadly and killers usually think they're entitled for a four man kill. But the advice in this video is helpful and appreciated.

I cannot stress enough the "respect the killers" tip. Several times survivors T bag and flashlight click and then get mad when you tunnel they're annoying asses
There was this one time when a rank 1 hillbilly with ultra rare add-ons decided to tunnel rank 11 me, he didn't linger at the hook but he yeeted himself across the map so fast that he was there when downing me was possible again. He did that every time, abandoning ongoing chases in that process. I mean I guess he just wanted to have some fun with his build but it's a horrible experience if you're the target, yet by simply leaving the game you'll risk getting banned and you also ruin the game for your mates because he can pick a new one to tunnel. Sadly there's not much you can do about situations like that but I guess it's too specific to have a way to deal with it (especially if you play in solo)
I usually attack survivors I've already hooked if I have to choose and people always start accusing me of tunneling, it's so annoying

This is the video i have been waiting for. I get found immediately and tunneled immediately every goddamn time i play, no matter if i play toxic flashlight teabagging Nea or P3 immersed toolbox claudette. I always have to run tank builds, like the one i have on David (borrowed time, dead hard, unbreakable and what i hope will eventually be mettle of man)
Our favorite SWF strategy is if you ignore a healthy survivor to tunnel the injured one that was just hooked, we will make the game last 45-60 minutes, or until you rage quit.
For anyone thinking About using the deliverance perk just note that you need to make a safe hook rescue to be able to activate it and you also go in broken state for around 60 seconds!
