Haha I bet your 100% correct. The old cases were definitely stronger. I really think these new ones were only made for packout since everyone wants something packout.
I use one of my cases like this with only 2 bins, so I thought the same about this one if I need another case not full of bins. It's a great way to get the case at a lower price if you dont need bins and need or want the holesaws.
A good deal for the hole saws themselves but the case they come in seems like junk, only good thing about the case is the little adjustable dowel pins.
When I first got it, I thought I could deal with it because it came in the packout and I like the customization of moving them around like you said. After having it a while, I dont like that case at all and now I know why the case is in the packout box.
I think the concept of this is completely half baked. While the main box is good, the inner box is junk! It comes with four useless hole saws that are rarely used. The case should have been designed to hold a complete set from 1” to 4-1/2” with pegs that don’t fall out. Fact of the matter is most sets only give some of what is commonly used so you have to purchase two different sets or just randomly purchase the ones you use for your work. Furthermore, who wants to open a box within a box every time you need something?
I agree. I think it was put in there because its packout and anything packout sells. I hear ya on the sets. I watch for the blackfriday sales and buy the sets that have what I need. You might end up with doubles, but usually still cheaper then buying individually. I know people are buying this for the packout case bonus. I myself have plenty of bins where I could put the bins in this case if I wanted. Its definitely not for everyone.
its too finicky. You keep opening 4 boxes just to start assembling your holesaw then putting it in use... It would be much better if they made an insert for packout and got rid of the other two boxes...
The new boxes are really are flimsy. I think they switch to the new boxes just so they could put it in the Packout and sell it for more. They can basically sell anything that says Packout on it lol Your totally right, more time taken to start a job isn't a good thing.

@@tgltoday2717 Yeah. But for sure packout is so awesome. There isnt even any other option out there. all the others are so far behind that system.
