Mike Durham's Whitley Bay International Jazz Party - Themed Set 7 Stardust and Beyond - the Music of Hoagy Carmichael. Pianist/vocalist Hoagy Carmichael is best known for his superb compositions, but Mike Davis dedicates this session to his actual recordings with a 14 piece band.
The band consists of - Mike Davis, Jan Kaiser (trumpets); Dan Barrett (trombone); Michael McQuaid, Lorenzo Baldasso, Richard Exall, David Horniblow (reeds); Emma Fisk (violin); David Boeddinghaus (piano); Martin Wheatley (banjo/guitar); Spats Langham (guitar, vocals); Malcolm Sked (sousa, string bass); Nick Ward (drums); Josh Duffee (orchestral bells).
