      In terms of health impact... each category of food has its own life nowadays
      How it’s produced, the ingredients and chemicals used, the oil used, the temperature at which the cooking process heated up to, the country of origins and travel distance, vegan/organic, etc
      I am not vegan but in terms of health impact I would devo suggest eating whole food

    I'm a meat eater. I smoke meat, grill meat and likely will never go vegetarian for many reasons. But these impossible burgers are friggin delicious. Between the texture and flavor, they're a solid close rival to a real beef burger. Costco samples is what introduced me to this food, and I am grateful. But this company is still negatively impacting the planet by packaging everything in plastic made from non-renewable resources. There are other plastics made from plant based materials they could use if they want to complete the circle.

      Are they really innocent though? "Innocent" animals are slaughtered every day in the wild too. Many of them are often bled to death before eventually being eaten and others are eaten alive like Gazelles in the wild that are preyed upon by Lions in their natural habitat. Do you feel sorry for them? Are they innocent too? At the end of the day, it's all part of our natural food cycle and general population control. As the saying goes, only the fittest will survive. There's nothing good or bad about that, just how nature works in our world.

    1. Yes it is processed food, processed means it is manufactured by someone that's not you, anytime you go to a restaurant you are also eating processed foods. Processed =/= bad.
    2. It is not necessarily a health food which nobody claims, but it's a healthier alternative due to low cholesterol and also better for the environment.
    3. It's great for meat eaters who are trying to lower their meat intake but us vegans already know how to make our own burgers at home ;)

    you know ,if vegan goal is just to save the environment and reduce pollution .Then ,buying a bit of meat from a local store that work with eco friendly farms will be way better . And don't forget we live in a cycle . Animals consume plants ,we consume them ,and we got eating by worms and insectes when we die and buried. If we try to stop that and everyone is vegan ,and no one eat meat even animals . Then some animals will die and plants will be gone. so the ideal is to consume less and produce most (sorry for my very broken English)

    • @tasadem20
      @tasadem20 Před 3 lety

      you don't get it. You can even make way more delicious vegan burger patties than beyond burger as some world cuisines have extremely delicious vegan recipes. This is why I never liked those fake lab-produced meats and I used to make my own when I was vegan BUT most people don't. When a company says that they care about the environment but charge you more than what meat costs when they could charge you less, it is not believable. Look what Elon Musk did. His vision is to create a better world without gasoline cars. He first targeted rich people and created a brand image and then use that brand name to create more affordable cars for people. He could easily sell Model 3 two times more but he doesn't. Because he wants people to make a shift and I really believe him whether I like electric cars or not. The same goes for everyone. When a company says they care about the environment and produce a milk alternative such as oat milk, almond milk, pea milk, etc because the cow milk is not environment friendly (which is true), I support it. But when they sell a gallon milk alternative for $7-8, I don't believe their belief and vision.
