- It's the most common question we get in the shop - How Much Weight Do I Need Freediving or How Much Weight Do I Need Spearfishing?
Jarrad and Eric break it down and help you understand when you'll need a little weight and when you'll need a lot.
We love talking about freediving and want your help. Let us know what you want to see by leaving a comment and sharing your suggestions for the next episode.
Glad you guys picked up some clip-on mics, much clearer.
I’ll be stopping by today while I’m in west palm, super stoked to see the store
PLS DO A VIDEO ON YOUR COURSES. QUICK OVERVIEW OF ALL OF THEM, OR AT LEAST LEVEL 1/2, TRAUMA, AND SPEARFISHING

Which spearfishing tours or charters would you recommend? I'm staying in St. Augustine, FL. Thanks for great info.
the best team...✌👍
Can you recomend a good recovery jacket for free diving? Is there a jacket that you can inflate while under water?
I tend to have as much as I can without the feeling of it pulling me under or having to fight/work to stay on top.. ??
Is there a generalized digital form available (?) …that asks: height, weight, athletic or not, type of water intended to dive, and mm suit type if any. The result would suggest likely weights needed and the effects at differing depths. Then buying a basic range of weights and some smaller adjusting weights would be a helpful guide.
Is it normal for a Freediver to dive without any weights? I can go 10 meters without weights with 3mm wet suit.
Eric mentioned clipping his floatline off to his belt, assuming this is with a reel gun. Do you run a drop weight or just unclip and let the float freely move about whilst your down?
I usually only do this while shorediving/shallow diving, in which case I like to use a small drop weight or just clip to some structure so I can freely work an area that I like.
Comp dive usally use a neck weight
Thanks for the info. I’m a big guy (240lbs) and just started freediving (shoredives only). I usually wear 1.5 mm wetsuit but like you have my 3mm ready to put on. Please advise the weight I need for both suits. Only going down 25’ max for now.
Brother, saw your comment here.
Bodies are different. Someone with the same weight, height, wet suit and everything else identical, might have different type of weight, because their body is different in the physiology aspect.
The best thing is for you to go to a pool and try from heavy to light and see what is the best for your needs.
Remember that in the pool you might need less weight because of the water density, but that test will get 80% on what you required.
Good lick and stay safe!!!!
please do review about best flashlights for spearfishing

Did y'all die, asking 4 a friend
Eric opened his own shop. Xhale Spearfishing in Jupiter.
Y'all could start making videos in metric system too... Since you have viewers from the whole world
Doesn’t the rest of the world have google like we do? Ya know, to look up answers ya don’t know? Or, get a basic grasp of basic calculations between the two? Like a lot of Americans do
@@alaefarmestatesllc you're saying a lot of Americans can calculate every measurement from the metric system? That's bull**** and you know it... Y'all know how to use Google but most of y'all don't use it because all you care about is America and most of us speak atleast 2 languages or more y'all barely speak the one language and half of y'all are illiterate... And using Google on every minute of the video is kinda not the point of watching an informational video and i was giving a suggestion to the creator since they have 50% or more audience outside America not to mention how easy it is to put a writing into a video when editing to involve the whole audience...
