- I had made my way to Jaipur where I was staying outside the historic city centre. I had heard lots of good things about this city but my first experience wasn't without its stress.
First of all, I couldn't find any food! I know that sounds crazy, being in India, but I literally could not find anywhere that sold food! It was a fairly stressful start and it didn't put me in the best mood.
I did start to warm to the city once my belly was full of curried peas :)
Join me as I explore the city of Jaipur.

I was in Jaipur in 2007 and at times it did my head in I remember being followed by a young guy who was constantly talking and asking me do I like sweets, and next thing you know I was standing in a shop which made sweets and cake but at the time I didn't want to eat this then I was walking down the street and another chap came up to me asking why western people don't like eating sweets,I laughed and said come on I know your game by this point I couldn't stand the hustle no more traveling in India you need to have patience but in the pink city I lost it and left the next day lol good luck in India.
India looks such a place of contrasts beautiful in some parts not so in others based on your observations and watching it, it's a shithole I would not touch it with a barge poll also the constant haggling and complaining about rupees is a real turn off having said that...don't worry be happy!
