    I've always seen light as 0s and 1s, essentially data. I imagine the worlds of xenoblade as a big folder with 2 or more smaller folders, and inside it we have a bionis/mechonis folder and an alrest folder. The queens communicate by passing data from their folder to the outside folder (worlds of xenoblade) and into the other one.

      Ironically people said that exact same thing when the game launched and, so far, none of the DLCs explain anything.
      The only one who will explain things is, as always with these sort of DLC, is the last one, which already revealed adult Shulk, adult Rex and them being seemingly betrayed by Alvis.

    1:37 Radio waves ARE light, just not visible light. They’re both on the same electromagnetic spectrum with the only difference being the size of their wavelength/frequency. I imagine Nia talking about “the medium of light” is just a hand-wavy way to refer to electromagnetic spectrum.

    Something that's weird about the founders is that the game says (on founder Vandham's statue I believe) that these guys were the FIRST ouroboros. It doesn't really makes sense because they are known to be the founders of the second city (since moebius N destroyed the first one), and we know ouroboros existed long before they were born since N and M were obviously ouroboros. That seems like a big plot hole or mistranslation to me...

    • @JBspherefreak
      @JBspherefreak  Pƙed rokem +11

      This is something that really confused me as well for a while. The conclusion we came to was that the Founders were the first to Truly unlock Ouroboros and understand its power and thus that would make the most sense

    • @HunchbackOfNotreJon
      @HunchbackOfNotreJon Pƙed rokem +1

      Not necessarily.
      Noah and Mio were in a repeating cycle before being tied to Flame Clocks. In the flashbacks, Noah and Mio are repeatedly killed but their deaths have white light similar to how Vandham died. The first time we see a City version of Noah/Mio is during a conversation about the Oroboros Stone being almost ready to use.
      I believe N and M aren't the Founders. They're the ones that ran away and died on the mountain, hence the present Noah's, "all you ever did was run away." It's the only time I can think of where we don't see what happens to the bodies in any way and the next(?) iteration is the baby scene, where we see Mio's first term limit death, N's sword, and Noah's term death.
      Taking into account how Shania pointed to her iris as proof of having "joined their ranks," it seems becoming Moebius is to attach yourself to a Flame Clock. Zed also comments throughout on how many times Noah has opposed him, which would indicate between the first Oroboros Stone and N/M there must've been many versions.

    • @DeusGamez
      @DeusGamez Pƙed rokem

      after i dug d into lore i understood the sequence of events as the following:
      Nia and Melia communicated with one another across space and both their people were unsatisfied being apart from eachother so the two devised a plan to merge both worlds which is what we see in the first cutscene.
      fastforward now those they sacrificed in an attempt to merge their worlds offered resistance to the change Nia explained that origin was created to be an arc which would house their souls so they could then be reborn in this new world of theirs but the resistance was so strong it gave birth to an individual entity which called itself "z" this entity then seized control over origin and crashed it into Aionius using the power of this new world Z twisted it into a war zone against the queens.
      because the queens had little time to react they created the cradles an so that those who did not perish could be reborn to continue to oppose Z
      but Z was clever and adaptable it tempted humans into accepting immortality and halting time's flow and established Moebius a collective of people seeking and endless eternity
      and it gave those with who it believed had some of the strongest desires seats of power in the form of Consuls up to 25 of them to serve as its generals in the conflicts against the queens.

    • @DeusGamez
      @DeusGamez Pƙed rokem

      Moebius then with their immortality and superior strength overwhelmed the two queens and pushed melia into a tight corner forcing her to surrender and thus submitting to capture which is when keves turned its blade upon its former allies the agnians.
      Nia knew this wasn't good for her chances and so started devising counter measures to not only avoid suffering melia's fate but to preserve the future an keep hope alive using a piece of origin she created the Ouroboros Stone and instructed her people to use it to combat moebius as it would grant those in its activation vicinity the chance to resist Z's influence.
      but moebius caught on quickly and adjusted accordingly creating an army of infinite soldiers using the cradle system and making more consuls its in this time that Noah and mio work with Nia and the aganians to push back nia also stole moebius' cradles to incorporate them for her own use but in so doing tho she was condemning the reborn to an expiration date of 10 years
      Nia was losing ground tho and suffering to many loses some realized this abandoned the fighting forming a third faction in this conflict they fought for their own survival instead of fighting for the future and this is the group Noah and Mio decide to join in one of the 10 year cycles they settle down and they conceive a child who would later then join a larger force and build the very first city which is then destroyed later on by consul N which was the deceased noah that was snatched up by origin/Z who grew attached and fascinated by him and his many attempts to challenge the endless cycle telling him he'd have mio forever if he destroyed the city and offered up their lives to Aionius a trade he took tho he wasnt strong enough to completely eradicate the city alone as is evident by the founder statue descriptions that he was pushed back an made to retreat tho i dont believe thats true he simply decided to leave because he obtained what he desired which was bringing back Mio at the cost of countless lives once that was in his grasp all else didnt matter to him and left the city as a ruin.

    To give some of my own theories on some of these questions:
    -Regarding the Noah & Mio reincarnating, I think N's explanation was especially specific. It is specifically the homecoming ceremony, or at least being sent as you die on your 10th term, that stops you from reincarnating in Aionios. Going AWOL to die of old age doesn't cut it.
    -I think the Blade-eater-like Core Crystals are actually Moebius' doing, and they serve the same purpose as Kevesi Power Frames. Equalizing not only Keves and Agnus, but also Blades and non-Blades, so their differences don't stand out to be questioned too much. Best for Moebius' control if Core Crystals are just "chest-dodads".
    -I'm personally of the theory that Founders Vandham & Doyle were descendants of N & M, maybe grandchildren or great-grandchildren depending on who Vandham's granddad is. They are supposed to be siblings after all, plus it explains why the Mio-lookalike would on the Kevei side of the room and vice-versa.

    • @JBspherefreak
      @JBspherefreak  Pƙed rokem +1

      - This doesn't work sadly as firstly, we see homecomings being created in Chapter 7 by Crys and M is present in that scene meaning that homecomings or the concept of them were created AFTER they got Moeb'd, not before
      - Possibly but I'm not certain. If Agnians used their Core Crystals like Nia does in the place of Irises, then I think you'd be dead right but the fact they have both makes me question that
      - After the DLC Leaks & such, I have no changed my stance on this point also

  • @IchHassePasswoerter
    @IchHassePasswoerter Pƙed rokem +1

    I think Mio's ability to always come back even after homecoming is set up by Nia (Mio presumably being her daughter and all) and Noah's ability to do so is encoded into Lucky Seven by Melia, possibly as a last fuck-you to Z. That might also explain why there are two versions of them. They're basically copied from Origin's base data.

    The idea lives reaching their Homecoming can leave the cycle is so counterintuitive when you consider there are no ways for Moebius to generate new lives besides inserting more previously registered lives into the cycle, but those are limited and available lives would keep reducing anyway. Z's plan doesn't seem too far off from Amalthus' plan of slowly breaking the cycle of life or Egil's plans of depriving the Bionis of his nourishment, they pretty much all enacted some kind of starvation tactics.

      Keep in mind Aionios is slowly disappearing, being deleted by annihilation events. Presumably to keep the war at relatively the same level you'd have to reduce the number of active soldiers, since otherwise you'd slowly wind up with Aionios being more and more crowded. By having tenth termers leave the cycle you can very slowly reduce the population to match Aionios' disappearance.
      Not sure how relevant that really is, seeing as Aionios has tonnes of free land, but it's the only reason I can think of for offering a way out of the cycle.

    I just had an idea. What if the reason all the alrestians have core crystals has something to do with needing to be sensitive to ether. Since the xenoblade 1 homs have innate ether abilities this would not be a requirement for them. Maybe in order to be stored in origin you need this ether sensitivity, and so before the collision all the new alrest population had to get core crystals implanted

  • @thomasnguyen9335
    @thomasnguyen9335 Pƙed rokem

    I truly believe with the new DLC being out, the answer as to why the Agnus have core crystals now would definitely be that marriage and integration between races and blades after the form of “New Alrest” would be more common. Especially since the Aegises, the Queen and the hero of Alrest are at the forefront leading the way of the future We see in glimmer and Mio, they both have core crystals passed down from their mothers and same with Linka with hers. I don’t believe they should be the only people with core crystals, but when we play Xenoblade 3, all of the characters aren’t adults, so they wouldn’t have core crystals. My guess on the theory.

  • @sirensong1794
    @sirensong1794 Pƙed rokem +1

    im thinking vandham and doyle are actually noah and mio's descendents rather than literally them or their direct son. them being mentioned to be potentially related and specifically theorized to be brother and sister could be subverted, but we should also take into account that vandham is on the agnian side of the room and in the dlc trailer he has his iris on the agnian side as well, and his ouroboros-esc form representing mios, while doyle is on the kevesi side of the room. this further points to them being n and m's descendents as it implies they have mixed heritage from both nations.
    Also while i definitely can see m helping the city out over the centuries and thus being on speaking terms with them, i cant imagine there would've been no consequences for her outright going against moebius like that, even if N certainly would've defended her continued existence to the other moebius no matter what.

    I interpreted "Light" as just meaning the electromagnetic spectrum. It's certainly possible to communicate with it, i suppose you could probably store data with it (im not a physicist), and it being a "language" as Nia describes it checks out too, it could be likened to a "universal language" like math or something.
    Noah and Mio still being able to reincarnate despite passing homecoming is something I never really thought about while playing. I suppose it might be related to why time seems to stop for Noah during the prologue; maybe Origin linked with him (and Mio as well) similarly to how Fei/Abel linked with the Zohar in Xenogears.
    I think the reason why all Agnians have a core crystal is because they were all implanted into them as the result of some kind of law. In other words, having a core crystal is not genetic or anything. That's why none of the residents of the City have a core crystal; they obviously don't implant the crystals manually. It would also explain why Noah and Mio's son doesn't have one. So Mio likely had her core crystal implanted as a young child, unrelated to the fact that she is Nia's daughter.
    Nopon being from another dimension also explains why they just kinda show up in each game inexplicably; their world was linked with ours; maybe there is a universe with primarily Nopon and there are a handful of humans living there. I guess we will have to wait for Xenoblade 7 to find out. And Riku just Riku, common variety nopon.

    12:07, new DLC wave confirms that Cassini is kevesi, so its safe to assume that Reid is Agnian, so Reid is probably a blade/flesh eater and cassini is high entia
    Edit: I just realised, since Doyle, Rhodes, and Vandham are agnian, that means both cassini AND Reid have to be kevesi (because an Ouroboros form needs to be kevesi + agnian, that means 3 agnian founders and 3 kevesi founders + 7th mystery founder). Plus, Shania is kevesi so thats more proof both of them are kevesi. So it cant be that one of them is a blade. I doubt they're both High Entia. Considering they're the founders we know the least about, i dont think its too far fetched to just assume they were both Kevesi soldiers but the statues dont mention that because they mainly talk about Shulk and Rex.
    Also my theory is that the 7th founder is Noah and Mio's son. As far as we know, he's the only child of a kevesi and agnian person. Would it really make sense for him to be agnian specifically? Especially since he looks like Noah. I think he is either both kevesi AND agnian or neither. This would mean he can't become Ouroboros, since it needs to be a combination of a kevesi and agnian person. But he's clearly important somehow (Chekov's Gun), and the 7th founder would make total sense since we don't know the 7th founder's nationality. Also, he CANT be one of the founders, since we know they were the first Ouroboros, but we know N was an ouroboros in the life preceding him becoming Moebius, and since' he's N son, the timeline doesn't work out. Also another reason why i dont think Vandham is Noah and Mios son is because.... why is he named Vandham? Mio named him, but why would Mio know the name Vandham. Nia clearly states in her ascension quest that Ghondor has some connection to the XC2 Vandham. What connection, idk, but being a descendant of Noah and Mio isnt one, especially considering that surely being a descendant of herself is a more relevant connection.

    Regarding the idea of light, I think it may come from the real world concept of positron-electron annihilation. Here's part of Nia's monologue at the beginning of chapter 7:
    “In the distant past, what was once a single world was cleft in twain. Plus and minus... On the surface, they were identical. These two worlds, of opposing nature, knew nothing of each other as they wended their way towards their own respective futures.
    However, the worlds yearned for each other. Against the solitude of existence, they strove to reunite...though it would spell certain destruction. Should the two worlds intersect, they would cancel each other out and cease to be, leaving only light.”
    From this, it can be understood that the opposing charges of the two worlds colliding together results in a reaction that cancels each other out and takes the form of an Annihilation Event, leaving nothing in its wake but light. This is the same principle as the real-world concept of electron-positron annihilation in physics, in which an electron (negatively charged) and its antiparticle, the positron (positively charged), collide and undergo an annihilation process, producing photons aka the particles that comprise light. Given this, it follows that Origin then recreates both worlds and its people as they were at the beginning of the game, based on the data stored within Origin and by using this light energy, and that the two worlds shouldn't come into danger of re-merging again.

    • @JBspherefreak
      @JBspherefreak  Pƙed rokem +1

      Well we're aware that the Black Fog and Annihilation Events are Annihilation of Anti-Matter and so this was what we originally considered. • @unboundmonado
      @unboundmonado Pƙed rokem

      Penning Traps are one idea I have that could be used to harness the black fog. IRL, penning traps have been used by corporations like CERN to trap and study electrically-charged antimatter. The Annihilator used by Keves Castle could be likened to adopting such a concept. That said, my understanding of the mechanics behind it end there unfortunately and the Annihilator's functionality to be used as a cannon does seem to only exist within science fiction.
      So yeah, what you say is true and is definitely something to consider. They're not exactly beholden to the IRL concepts so there does stand that likely chance of tweaking it like you said for the sake of a more interesting and possibly happier story.

    The statues say Vandam and Doyle are siblings, and given the trailer having Vandam mention his grandfather, it makes much more sense for the grandfather to be N's son since N wasn't killed, only had one son, and his grandfather must be significant and not just some random N descendant. I don't know where you got, M being Doyle from. The game clearly states they're siblings.
    You also assume that to make the timeline work, Rex and Shulk needed to mentor long living races, but the trailer and game imply they were around at the time of the founders, otherwise why would there be statues of them at all when supposedly only 2 people have seen them alive. Given the fact that Melia somehow lived 1000 years looking like a 100 year old High Entia who only has a life span of about 500, and that Nia, a Flesh-Eater who could've literally dropped dead at any moment also lived 1000 years and the common thing between them is that both of them lived the worlds colliding and kept their original bodies I think it'd make more sense that Shulk and Rex both share that trait with them and survived looking 30 until their deaths.
    I always hear that a lot of people think that the Seventh Founder is actually Nia since they're represented with a stone, Nia looks at said "Statue" during one of her Hero cutscenes, and that the game implies that Nia went to sleep after the founders time since she told M she was.
    Finally, the game rarely shows us the worlds before the merging, but it heavily implies that all of Aionios' soldiers were between 10-20 already before the merging. Noah, Lanz, Eunie, and Joran are shown pre-Aionios and the odds of them seeing eachother again if there are millions of people is slim, it makes more sense if Z had to recycle the lives more often because there aren't as many of them as the rest of the people in Origin, and Melia herself even says that countless people are still in Origin at the end of the game. So Shulk couldn't get reborn into the Flame Clock system since he was in his late 30s, at least at the time of merging.

    • @JBspherefreak
      @JBspherefreak  Pƙed rokem

      I now agree with this top point. Originally, I didn't believe this to be the case but for the same reasons as you, I now believe that this is accurate (Reminder, this video was made before the Trailer)
      I humbly disagree with Rex & Shulk however. If they were alive during the Founders Era, then why not simply give them a statue as well? The fact that the students decided to give their statues up to their mentors completely implies that they were dead at this time and I stand by this belief as I don't believe anything has been shown to prove otherwise
      I don't think Nia is the 7th but we have so little to go on that I can't really say that she wasn't. It also felt to me that she was simply implying that Mio was her daughter but yea
      Whilst this implied, it is never outright confirmed and therefore, I can't discount the possibility that this simply isn't the case. We don't know for certain that EVERY soldier in Aionios was within this age gap so I still believe that this is plausible

  • @HunchbackOfNotreJon
    @HunchbackOfNotreJon Pƙed rokem

    As for the reincarnations of Noah and Mio go, N's phrasing is "snuffed during Homecoming," and every time they reincarnate, they have no ceremony. Additionally, the flutes change the mote colors from husks and are not necessary for taking life for the Flame Clocks. Finally, machiney-queenie Nia says the process of the Homecoming Ceremony was implemented 1000 years ago, with implications by Ashera, and I think Monica that the ceremony was not originally a part of the process.
    So I believe reaching Homecoming doesn’t mean reaching the term limit. It refers to the send-off ceremony with the use of flutes.
    I'm pretty sure nopon are free to roam because Moebius views them as too inferior to be of use. Therefore, the information network of nopon and probably M are likely responsible for bringing the flutes in.

      Homecoming is a term thats seems to simply refer to the end of ones lifespan. It isn't necessarily the ceremony because we see Crys create it over 1000 years ago. Even so, Noah and Mio do keep surpassing their Homecoming (end of lifespan) and return afterwards.
      Considering that Aionios is slowly falling apart because there isn't enough Life Energy, this seems like a complete waste so I disagree.
      Also, those weren't the past party members. They were likely the same VA's simply to refer to them being Noah & Mio's current companions

    6:05 ÂżWhy does every Agnian have a core crystal?
    Welll i think i've found The answer to that, altough it's only a tehory:
    First of all, we need to stablish tha fact that every soldier who is fighting in The Agnus/Keves war is only a child, apparently Moebius only took children that are around 10-12 years old to be recicled over and over again. We can asume this because is The same thing that happen in Keves side, so this means that like in The Keves case, The soldiers that fight for Agnus are a new generation of people from The world of XC2. Why is this important? Well You see if we take a look at The estheric of Agnus clothing and architecure we can se that resembles a Lot The Tornan culture, and one of The most important things of that culture was The belief that Blades and humans are equals, for me is just logical that if The people from alrest wanted a new peaceful way of living then they had to be more just whith other beings like Blades. Following that logic i asume that The people from The new nation of Agnus were living in peace with Blades for some time before The colission event happen, and thanks to The picture from The ending of XC3 now we know that humans can have children with Blades. That si basically My theory (sorry for My broken English)
