    I've looked at more empty sets than full ones over the last 40 yrs ! Do you ever use large baits to catch the wolves , or is that more trouble than its worth ? Good stuff , keepum comin !!!

      Yeah there is a lot of countryside animals are walking around on it’s not always going to be stepping in traps. About the largest bait I’ll use is a third a moose skin or a full caribou skin. The wolves up here seem to shy away from big bait, not sure why I think they know better. Moose and caribou kills can be different but placed bait make them really wary. Thanks for watching! Have a good one

    None of us make catches all the time Brother But I hope I'm still at it when I'm 80 like your Uncle. Thanks for sharing and take care.

      Thanks! Yeah he’s in his late 80s now. If he had somebody helping him he would prolly still be out there. Thanks bro! Man that beaver you got had a huge tail👍

    You can always tell a real trapping channel by the misses. I’ve checked many empty sets myself, I always tell myself the next one will have something in it. Good luck next season. Let’s hope for tight chains. 👍👍

      Thanks! I was a bit worried how the video would go with no catches but I’ve only shown the actual day out there and not multiple trips.

    What caliber is your AR15? And have you ever thought about getting a trail cam you can get good footage of them critters and see how clever they are and learn they’re tactics a bit more

      My AR is in 223/556. Yeah I have a couple trail cams I just never got around to setting them up. I actually got some as cards in so now I have no excuse. Thanks for reminding me. Have a good one

    What would you consider the best rifle carrying setup on a snow machine

    • @enigmaticgwichin1630
      @enigmaticgwichin1630  Před 10 měsíci +1

      The one I carry the most is the AR-15. As long as you tape/cover the end of the barrel and leave the dust cover closed it really works well. A lever gun or bolt action both have part of the action open for snow and other foreign debris to make there way in. I carry another rifle, bolt action usually in 22mag in the sled or on the side of my snow machine but it’s in a hard case or soft bag to keep snow out. Oh yeah I have a 22longrifle bolt carrier group and mag with me so I can shoot 22lr out of my ar-15.
      Thanks for asking and have a good one👍

    To much talking, to much riding, to much music. NOT enough trapping.

      All that stuff you mentioned is part of trapping. His videos are perfect.

      I'm not a subscriber because I do not want to watch a 5-minute video stretch to 30 minutes with very limited action.
