+Babspace How nervewreking it must be to be up there as a 10 year old... I remember how destroyed I was in a school play and that was for the parrents.. This the whole world!
I agree with you.. It was not a tantrum. If it was, she would prob be kicking and screaming and hitting. I know what a tantrum looks like, and it didn't look like what holly did.
Exactly. There is a major difference between a tantrum and a breakdown. This girl was not just a spoiled girl not getting her way. She was a girl who had a nervous reaction to the pressure she was under, and wanted a second chance to show how hard she worked. She would super hard for that moment, and to lose it because of a nervous breakdown is devastating.
Just wanted to say - hey thats me! And thank-you guys for all your support on the comments. I really appreciate the kind words and encouragement here. Its very healing to feel the support! ❤
How brave you were Holly to get back on that stage with millions watching. What a beautiful voice. I’ve been in tears watching you perform on BGT tonight. 😢
Puribas Doesn'tCare relax . it's just a show. Everybody is in on it, its a money game, if the audience didn't react, the sponsors don't produce the show. By reacting to a tantrum on stage, you are actually encouraging it.
Washing Machine Ka Bhoot Relax, I was just saying she's cute and has real talent. I wasn't condoning her tantrum, just saying she's got real potential.
Oh my lord, people! Just remember that she is a 10-year-old girl and this was her most difficult song yet, plus it was in front of cameras and thousands of people. I'm honestly shocked that people would actually leave these sorts of comments on a little girl's performance, seriously, get a life.
As a vocalist, I know first hand the horror you can experience when you forget a line. It freaks you out and if you don't keep it together and get past it straight away, it will snowball into a train wreck! I felt her pain, and she did brilliantly. Sometimes all that's left to do is cry...
Even the best of us falter at times, for we are human after all. There's are no second chances in life? Rubbish-if that was the case, all of us would have died very young. To just disqualify her because she had a "hiccup" is ridiculous, she's a kid with a tremendous talent. Good for you, sweetheart.
So many people think that Simon is a complete jerk (and that is putting it mildly) but he is honest, sometimes brutally so, but his soft heart came through here. She was brave to come back. Was she perfect? No, but when you have the entire audience singing with you, that says something. It certainly gave me goosebumps!!!
Well how many 10 year olds could recover like that? None too many on pitch, gridiron, diamond et al! Brave kid with alot of guts, the world stands a chance when she matures and leads!!!! Well done young miss from across the pond, spectacular recovery that is admirable!!!!!!
It's an extremely stressful situation. When you sing on stage, in front of people, your legs & voice can shake, you get hot & flushed from the stage lights, your throat gets dry, and notes you can normally fly over can refuse to come. Likewise, some people are more sensitive to stress. Also, she seems to me, possibly, a bit autistic. I can't believe ANYONE would call a child a cunt. I suppose it shouldn't surprise me, but it does. That's just evil to say about a kid.
what with the people that hate on a 10 year old "Attention Seeker"This girl is brilliant when i was 10 i cried just standing on a stage that maybe 50 people this girl is doing it in front of millions of people So please stop hating
I was 10 when Sound Of Music came to the movies. Edelweiss has been my all time favorite song over everthing. I even sang it in a German resteraunt when I was 11 but nothing like what Holly could sing it.
Awesome Holly your a pretty!! AWESOME singer keep it up and you will be all over the radio congrats you got talent in my opinion and in many other peoples to
i had a similar experience when i was about her age at a local show when i messed up and ran off stage crying. i wish someone had encouraged me to get up and do it again. it takes tremendous courage to put yourself in a vunerable position to be judged, especially on that big of a stage. her voice is so precious, and with the right training and practice, i think she could have a great future in music.
This little girl was TEN YEARS OLD. The maturity level is still weak and it was amazing she could take all the stress on her to do her best. She is old enough to realize how big this is, how stressful, but may not be old enough to handle the pressure.
Both Hollie Steal and Shaheen Jafargholi were very brave to keep going in front of all those people, especially when you consider that Hollie was 10 and Shaheen was 12 at the time. They both did a great job with their performances!
she's in the kid's division for a reason. any child would have gotten the same chance she did if they messed up like that. if you let your nerves get the best of you and you had practiced as hard as she did and you were as talented as her, wouldn't you want a second chance? while being an live tv is not easy for anyone, you'd think an adult could control their nerves. unlike a TEN YEAR OLD girl who has NO real control of her nerves and emotions.
She WAS lucky! TV production is a stress-filled job & I imagine the production team were rather annoyed that Simon promised the kid more time. She probably should not have had a second chance BUT come on people! She is ten years old & if she thought she was 'that perfect' and was 'that confident' surely she wouldn't have had a nervous breakdown? She was singing to the entire nation on television ALONE on stage. I don't know many ten year olds who could do that. So leave her be.
I think when the audience cheers it kind of shocks them- shes was beautiful and broke as the audience cheered. the audience should not make noises or faces until the performance is done
Yes, I've watched him judge Britain's Got Talent, American Idol, X Factor in the U.K. and now the U.S. and after watching him roll his eyes, made horrible remarks, and just plain be a Grinch, I've come to realize that he does know what he's talking about. I looked up the other day, and his net worth is $350 million so he must know what he's talking about but I agree whole heartedly that some people aren't up to his sharp comments. I know I wouldn't make it without bursting into tears!
I thought she a ballet dancer NOT a singer, weird. that last note was AMAZING!!!!!!! i dont beleive it! she pratically squeaked it!!!. it soynded good though but i didnt expect her to go that high!
I remember when I was in 3rd grade, and I had to do auditions for an upcoming choir show, and so, i tried out, but then the director, or someone, asked for me to speak louder, (i was really shy, and really quiet), and then i started crying and ran out the door. my brother (and another girl who was in 8th grade) coaxed me back in and got me to stop crying again, and so i went back inside and re-read a line or two then sat down. it's frightening to stand up and do that, sing in front of people
I hate all the f***ing people on here that have resorted to cussing out a freakin little girl! I don't know what YOU'RE watching, but I seen fear and tears in those lovely eyes. She was scared. Give her a f***en break!
Okay First off it literally breaks my heart to see so many people attacking a 10 year old child and many in dispicable ways. She was only 10 at the time and children tend to get emotional at times, especially when under stress!! get over it!! Second off, her voice may not have been fully developed then and their may have been some room for growth. however her voice was still beyond amazing for her age! And listen to her channel now her voice is one of the purest things I have ever heard in my life! Third many many people get second chances on these shows!!! Have any of u hating on her ever taken the time to consider the fact that heir are such things as a wild card on these shows?? The judges have a wild card and bring someone back on the show who got sent home every season!!! Remember on Americas got talent Andrew Deleon?? They brought him back because they believed in him and he got a second chance! How is Hollie getting a second chance any different! She got a second chance because the judges believed in her, and it doesn't take a genius to see why!! And and fourth do any of u who are posting rude comments have anything better to do with ur time? Or is ur life so unfulfilled u have to hate on a child to make urself feel better?? The bottom line is Hollie has a natural talent that has grown into an amazing ability over the years and she has accomplished something many never get the chance to! Leave the poor girl be. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, But there is a fine line between having an opinion and being flat out cold and heartless to a child who by no means has done anything to deserve ur disgusting words!!! Get off her case and go put ur opinions to better use. Have a nice day everyone!
Ok I get it maybe she shouldn’t have gotten just because she got upset, but c’mon she’s a little girl singing a hard song in front of thousands of people and judges. Admit it it can’t be easy, don’t say mean things it’s not really fair! 👯♀️
I get that she was nervous but Simon calling her the bravest girl in the world really pissed me off. What about the starving children in countries that have to fight to survive and protect their siblings. She is not brave but she does have determination.
The previous video called her earlier performance "a tantrum". It was a full-on meltdown, a breakdown, this is a LITTLE GIRL, people.
+Babspace Yep thats right just a little girl, thats why she couldnt handle the pressure.
+Babspace How nervewreking it must be to be up there as a 10 year old... I remember how destroyed I was in a school play and that was for the parrents.. This the whole world!
Completely true. It wasn't a tantrum. This girl is 10 and she is brave enough to sing in front of almost the whole world
I agree with you.. It was not a tantrum. If it was, she would prob be kicking and screaming and hitting. I know what a tantrum looks like, and it didn't look like what holly did.

did you duet with Rolf Harris?
How brave you were Holly to get back on that stage with millions watching. What a beautiful voice. I’ve been in tears watching you perform on BGT tonight. 😢
She didn’t have a “break down” She had a panic attack whilst singing and I’m sure she wasn’t trying to be a brat. She was scared
It doesn't mater if she cried she was still beautiful at singing
She is SO adorable and talented... I bet her mother is so proud of her~!
Fuck u Puridas Doesn'tCare u r a fucking heartless person
Puribas Doesn'tCare relax . it's just a show. Everybody is in on it, its a money game, if the audience didn't react, the sponsors don't produce the show. By reacting to a tantrum on stage, you are actually encouraging it.

clatterslam I wouldnt be alive if i didnt have one and i wouldnt be able to reply too y
She was very brave. The same goes for Shaheen Jafargholi.
As a vocalist, I know first hand the horror you can experience when you forget a line. It freaks you out and if you don't keep it together and get past it straight away, it will snowball into a train wreck! I felt her pain, and she did brilliantly.
Sometimes all that's left to do is cry...
"no one gets a second chance in real life" are you kidding me of course they do. you all need to stop being so negative.
yes.
At the end, when she smiled, I swear, I teared up. This girl is amazing. (':
i just love how dec is so good with kids. :)
Even the best of us falter at times, for we are human after all. There's are no second chances in life? Rubbish-if that was the case, all of us would have died very young. To just disqualify her because she had a "hiccup" is ridiculous, she's a kid with a tremendous talent. Good for you, sweetheart.
She is a good singer
So many people think that Simon is a complete jerk (and that is putting it mildly) but he is honest, sometimes brutally so, but his soft heart came through here. She was brave to come back. Wonderful! You give me the chills when you sing. All the best in your career.
What a brave girl I couldn't do that 💗💗💗
She didn't even really cry there were no tears in her eyes
Puribas sometimes you got to fake it to make it
She has a condition that makes her unable to cry, and you could tell she was sad, there was no tantrum, just a little girls nerves getting wrecked.
Some people cry without tears. You can tell it was real by her face expressions and body language.
It's an extremely stressful situation. When you sing on stage, in front of people, your legs & voice can shake, you get hot & flushed from the stage lights, your throat gets dry, and notes you can normally fly over can refuse to come. She gotta hide it
that last note, my god!
what with the people that hate on a 10 year old "Attention Seeker"This girl is brilliant when i was 10 i cried just standing on a stage that maybe 50 people this girl is doing it in front of millions of people So please stop hating
Her voice makes the hair on my arms stand up it is so beautiful :)
Such an amazing talent and such a wonderful choice of song. Thumbs up for a brave little girl.
Very nice job Hillie!!! Bravo! not to many other little girls could have done or even thought about doing what you have done and you were amazing
God this was uploaded on my birthday 4 years ago :/ wonderful birthday present. wonderful singing :) well done Hollie
Brilliant come back! What a beautiful little girl.
I was 10 when Sound Of Music came to the movies. Edelweiss has been my all time favorite song over everthing. I even sang it in a German resteraunt when I was 11 but nothing like what Holly could sing it.
Amanda mouthing the words along side her because ITS SUCH AN EASY SONG LYRICALLY!
that is a very high note at the end even i can't hit that note good god i love this girl and the song
that last note just struck me. Awwweee!! SHE JUST MIGHT BE THE NEXT JULIE ANDREWS!!!
Awesome Holly your a pretty!! AWESOME singer keep it up and you will be all over the radio congrats you got talent in my opinion and in many other peoples to

10 years old WOW amazing!! :')
ok dangit I cried again! What a little sweetheart! :-)
sweet sweet child.
Keep going, Hollie, you are brilliant!
This little girl was TEN YEARS OLD. The maturity level is still weak and it was amazing she could take all the stress on her to do her best. She is old enough to realize how big this is, how stressful, but may not be old enough to handle the pressure.
She should be in one of those musicals 😎👍
she was, according to her wikipedia, she was Liza in the sound of music
People think Simon is a villain or the devils child. He's none of that crap!! he has a soft heart for everybody. Stop the harsh words!!!!
Amazing little girl!Wow!
Me TOO! :D I thought I was the only one crying.. HAHA!
Wonderfully moving performance
shes so beautiful
This girl doesn't deserve any 2nd chance because no one else did so this girl needs to get her attitude in shape
She's amazing :-)
Trust me, we all want to be treated as adults but when you're up on stage singing, it's a whole different story.
amazing voice
So Cute!
She cried and she went plz plz plz!
Both Hollie Steal and Shaheen Jafargholi were very brave to keep going in front of all those people, especially when you consider that Hollie was 10 and Shaheen was 12 at the time. They both did a great job with their performances!
i wish i had nerves whenni, was in 7th year in a school production i cried befor i went on and then cried as soon as i went back its fricking scary
That is one very brave ane very talented young girl
True that braviest girl in the world
The audience were so beautiful and nice I tried to help as much as I could good people.
U are sooooooooooooo so good
I cant stand it when comments get deleted. ::T
But this little girl can handle stage fright better than most people can...
bless her heart xxx

i dont care if she acts or not. the only thing is she has got pure fantastic voice that doesn't need any tears..
Uma Voz Adoravel nota 10
i wish i had her talent
If someone goes into this sort of competition they should all be treated equally , you mess it up , tough
Urko2005 She was ten years old and had a panic attack, maybe it wasn’t the fairest but it was still kind of fair
She WAS lucky!
TV production is a stress-filled job & I imagine the production team were rather annoyed that Simon promised the kid more time.

She was singing to the entire nation on television ALONE on stage. I don't know many ten year olds who could do that.
So leave her be.
i completely agree with you.
youtube magic.. sound continued after video ended lmao!
I speak from experience, I so wished I could get a second chance............I really do
tiene vos de princesa de disney!! :D
I love her voice
i cried with her when she cried
I cried when she started crying
I agree. If they can't treat her like everyone else, then she shouldn't be on the show.
wow shes good
Hollis is the greatest...and let's not forget there's kind of a sadness to the song as one can tell from the 1965 movie the sound of music
It was rough, but she has a beautiful voice and as she gets older, the nerves will wither away.
She will be just fine.
I think when the audience cheers it kind of shocks them- shes was beautiful and broke as the audience cheered. the audience should not make noises or faces until the performance is done

Come on guys she's a kid, and kids have meltdowns. Also what 10 year old has the chance to get to the semi finals and not be dead nervous
considering she is 10 ... it is amazing ! !
im sure ur a big girl now :")
well done :)
CuTe GiRl LoVe YoU HolliE :))
Wow! The blonde judge kind of reminded me of Connie Talbot. I mean, look at those eyes! O.O
Acutally I DO saw her tears on 2:30,she is brave!I cannot do that when I was ten!!
True.
Thumbs up
I thought she a ballet dancer NOT a singer, weird. that last note was AMAZING!!!!!!! i dont beleive it! she pratically squeaked it!!!. it soynded good though but i didnt expect her to go that high!
I think she was just nervous and sometimes when you're nervous it's practically impossible to cry.
too right! they're are some people who have a strange nervous laugh when they are nervous or under pressure. Doesnt mean they find it funny
i'm crying like a baby T.T
I remember when I was in 3rd grade, and I had to do auditions for an upcoming choir show, and so, i tried out, but then the director, or someone, asked for me to speak louder, (i was really shy, and really quiet), and then i started crying and ran out the door. my brother (and another girl who was in 8th grade) coaxed me back in and got me to stop crying again, and so i went back inside and re-read a line or two then sat down. it's frightening to stand up and do that, sing in front of people

Beautiful English young girl singing the wrong song.Shame on the producers. The illuminatti
bless her she is only 10 but she seems reeally emotional
❤
@ashwinchester Thank you! You have a HEART! XD
whatever it is she is very good

Sarah Rochau that is so true
you can tell thhat simon really really likes her if hes not critisizing her for breaking own the first time.
Ok I get it maybe she shouldn’t have gotten just because she got upset, but c’mon she’s a little girl singing a hard song in front of thousands of people and judges. Admit it it can’t be easy, don’t say mean things it’s not really fair! 👯♀️
wahhhhhhhh Im just a lil girl......equality my arse.
10 years old? oh my got!
it means 5-29-09 remember this is Britain so they write things differnent
I get that she was nervous but Simon calling her the bravest girl in the world really pissed me off. What about the starving children in countries that have to fight to survive and protect their siblings. She is not brave but she does have determination.
Etta Beckreck he only said that to comfort her
