- In this video I will show you how to make a zoom in transition on DaVinci Resolve as well as the ways I would improve it. Though repositioning, time remapping, twixtoring, and adding effects like black bars and blurs I was able to make what I believe is the perfect scale in transition.

Great tutorial! I just wanted to ask if you have a video for the perfect zoom out transition because my motion blur is not that good and i needed to know how to hide the motion tile
I do not have a video on that yet, but have your starting value at 1.2 and zoom out to 1

Hey PeeJ! I've been watching your tutorials for a while now and they're really helpful and fun. I need your help with one issue. I am currently working on an edit and the original video has black borders on top and the bottom and applying the zoom transition makes the borders expand which doesnt look nice. Any idea how I can apply the transition while maintaining the black borders? Appreciate your help!
the only way to maintain the bars is to put them there yourself, you should get rid of them honestly (shown here: czcams.com/video/_hyzPJY7zQI/video.html ) and then put the put bars: czcams.com/video/18T0rD8P98A/video.html

it resets the frames inside fusion so it starts from 0
What does the pivot point do?
Even when i use 1080p clips zooming in kinda makes it a little blurry (noticeable) so should i use higher pixel clips
If you can you should, as long as the long parts of your clips stay below the zoom level of 1.5 you should be fine tho

You can make the black bars another way and it is the same but I can’t really be saying much

What kind of glitches are you experiencing? or is it like slow playback?

4:40 my compound clip can't extend out like that... it's limited already? Also can u do a video on time stretcher? I'm confused
The length of the compound clip is limited by the largest length of footage within in it.
If a clip inside a compound clip is 1 second long, the maximum length of the compound clip is 1 second, if you increase the length of the footage inside the compound clip from 1 second to 2 seconds then the maximum length of the compound clip is now 2 seconds.

its not bad, the slide one ( czcams.com/video/LWIR2GRyves/video.html ) does a more modern job of explaining everything that goes into it, the principles are still all the same (I just think my execution could be a little better on this one)
