It is my city where my childhood was. I am a Lebanese National from Tripoli Lebanon, I was born in Abu Dhabi on June 10th 1995 at the corniche hospital. I grew up there for the first 11 years of my life, until I relocated to Dubai in 2006 where I currently live and work. UAE is always a country within my heart.

Thanks! Yeah this channel is technically a travel channel, even though there's a lot of football stuff in it. Personally i think Abu Dhabi is far better then Dubai been to both and Abu Dhabi was more enjoyable from what i experienced it was less touristy then Dubai which i liked but that is personal thing.

i wish ive seen this vid before going there last week, my first impression of abu dhabi was its too stiff/strict even eerily quiet as a city . will have to give abu dhabi another chance to visit
Yeah, it can seem a little uptight, for sure. I found that it's a lot less busier and the people there are a lot more laid back, but the authority figures (like Police) are a lot more uptight.
Abu Dhabi is definitely worth visiting again, there's plenty to keep you entertained.
@@UltimateBucketList from what I know/learned, in terms of strict laws, Abu Dhabi sounds a lot like Doha/Qatar.

If you hire a car or take taxi's in Abu Dhabi, you'll be just fine. The bus system is hella confusing.

Thanks! Yes, the F1 is a very important event in the city, but that's only in one small part of it (Yas Marina). There's loads of different islands which you can do stuff.

I did Abu Dhabi as a day trip from Dubai a few times - it is only 1.5 hour drive. I love Dubai but I think Abu Dhabi is actually nicer and better

@@mariusmatei2946 I've never driven from Abu Dhabi to Doha but I guess it will be probably 6 to 7 hours. Easier to catch the plane as it is a very short trip
@@brothersman524 hmm, that's longer than I expected; but, still (to me) driving from point A to point B (if possible) is so much more interesting/appealing than flying the distance (like, for example, the drive from Copenhagen to Geneva, or from Philadelphia to Atlanta).

@@mariusmatei2946 If we did drove from Abu Dhabi to Doha, I would have gave you a better insight but we didn't do that. I am aware about going from San Francisco to LA which was about 6 to 7 hours driving because I remembered a driver taking me there. I think it is about 7 hours. I've just checked on Google Map now and it is says about 5.5 hours but there are factors that are needed to be put into consideration like checkpoints, passport control, traffic control and so on

well not really, i mean aerial videos via drones are okay and recording yourself is okay just dont record someone who doesent consent on purpose and if they accidentally appear on the clip its okay i hope this made things clear.

I think if you take pictures of yourself and generic scenery and attractions, you'll be fine.
But under no circumstances do you take pictures of government buildings, security/police or close ups of people without their consent. This is a sure-fire way to land you into trouble.
A family member of mine recently worked in Abu Dhabi, travelling there as a lone female at least once and she didn’t want to come back to England. Seems to me the middle east is literally the only remotely safe place for us foreigners with brown faces. Watch this space!

To live on a permanent basis, (personally) I favour cities like Copenhagen, or Geneva, but I Would Most Definitely go on a one-week holiday to cities like Abu Dhabi, or Dubai!!

Yes, it's cheap to take a bus between Abu Dhabi and Dubai ... but it's significantly longer than driving.
I'd wish they'd hurry up and build that new train line to Abu Dhabi ... that would make life so much easier!

Headed to either Abu Dhabi or Qatar/Doha in September this has swayed my opinion . Ive been to Dubai a few times which ive heard is similar.
It is similar to Dubai, but just a lot less busy.
Dubai is packed to the rafters at the best of times and you'll find that you can move a lot more freely in Abu Dhabi.
That said, I'm looking to do a similar video for Doha soon. All I have to do is get there first!

Yeah, Abu Dhabi is super hot in the summer months. But if you're in a waterpark, it shouldn't matter too much?
Looking forward to going here one day! When I was a child we went on holiday to the UK and we had one stop-over in Abu Dhabi. It was only for a few hours so we just stayed in the airport but I have very vivid memories of the beautiful mosaic in the centre of each floor when we were shopping. That was in 1999, so looking forward to returning as an adult and leaving the airport this time! Great video as always Ninh :)

Great video. You show indeed all the best spots. But sorry you don't give the Louvre Abu Dhabi a little more credit. They have a fabulous collection of art. True the Moma Lisa is not there, but there is so much more to be seen. And what about the "empty quarters" or Qasr al Hosn or the mangroves? So much to see and do.
Thanks Gordon. Don't get me wrong, the Louvre in Abu Dhabi is nice and it has a lot of great pieces - but it wasn't anything special compared to some of the other art galleries out there in the world.
During my time there, I didn't cover everything so I couldn't really comment on the other things.

I'd say visit both! It's only about an hour to 90 minutes drive between the two.
And they're both amazing in totally different ways.

Hey Ninh, you mentioned about car rental in a couple of your videos for Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Which car rental company would you recommend to avoid scam and them not returning the deposit. I'm planning my trip right now. Looks like all the American car rental companies like Thrifty are at the airport. I'm staying near Marina Bay most likely. Is it worth doing the commute to pick up car at Dubai Airport? I'm renting a car so I can drive down to Abu Dhabi. Thanks
To be honest, they're all as bad as each other.
It's not the cars or hiring them that's the problem, it's the crap customer service and having to fight for the deposit back.
My advice: pick a brand that you trust and pay with your credit card.
If there's a dispute, call your credit card provider and they should be able to get your money back.
If they insist on you paying in cash, walk away.
I would love to visit Abu Dabhi and I am interested to see their magnificent mosque & stunning other structures.

Abu Dhabi is the best city ever. It's better than Dubai. I've been to Dubai but not my thing, because Abu Dhabi is my hometown and I love Abu Dhabi. I am currently living in Shenzhen city, a young Chinese city with high tech fastest growing cities in China and the world, it is similar to Abu Dhabi but a lot bigger, better and more efficient! Hope to visit Abu Dhabi soon after China border opens.
It's certainly a lot easier to navigate than Dubai.
The only thing I would say is that if it had an underground system or a metro - it'd be pretty awesome.
But yeah, your home city is a nice place!

Yes, you can get a simple transit visa for 4 days (96 hours).
To get a transit visa, you must have: a passport or travel document with a minimum validity of six months.

I want to travel to Abu Dhabi to watch the Blackpink concert but I’m not familiar with the city. does anybody know what venue they would most likely be playing in concert? I want to book my hotel now before they release the tickets
The two largest venues for concerts are the Du Arena and the Etihad Arena.
Both are located near each other, on opposite ends of the Yas Marina F1 track.
It's a short commute from the airport and plenty of hotels nearby.
However, I'd probably wait until they announce the venue first before booking!

Hi, yes you can visit the Emirates Palace for free as it's a public hotel. There are some areas just reserved for guests though, so please bear that in mind.
To see everything in Abu Dhabi will take you 2 or 3 days tops, but you add one additional day per theme park that you're planning to see.
I hope you like hot weather because it's scorching in June!

@@tarny11 I'm glad I went once in my life (which is the whole point of the channel), but I'd be lying if I said I'd happily go back tomorrow. Don't get me wrong, it's really cool and the theme parks are great so if you are thinking about it, I recommend that you visit.

There are the 'budget chains' like Novotel and Holiday Inn where the standards of the rooms are quite high for a reasonable price. They're not like the ones in the UK/US - everything is a high standard over in Abu Dhabi.
