- Welcome back guys to another episode of FLHP, where we're gonna do a full build review of the baddest 2020 C8 Corvette on the planet!
We had the pleasure of working on this beautiful red C8 Corvette this year, fitting it with every bolt-on you can imagine. The customer said, "if they make it for the C8, I want it on the car", and that's exactly what we did.
We're gonna review the exterior modifications we made to aero, the power modifications, and last but not least, the sound this beast makes from idling, in-cabin, and exhaust note (aka corvette exhaust sound!).
Shoutout to our friends at GM EFI Magazine for this awesome feature on the C8 Corvette:

I have that same exhaust and I still have a check engine light on. The dealership can not get it off. Lingenfelter did not help at all. Do you have a answer ?

Florida High Performance big help lol
I told him to email me for help….I need more Info
Ya buy paragon lol
Try going to a dealer for a valve relearn.
Great built! Only think i did add later is Victor racing smart active wing because of it's easy installation and control possibilities of wing position! almost like flying a plane..
Wow. This C8 is extremely nice!! Well done!
Thank you
hands down the best offering in super sportscars bar none. definitely the hottest car out there currently in the world. world beating performance, the sportscar of the decade 2020s.
lets not even talk about pricing and accessibility here. nobody will ever match this outside of America at least.
greetings from germany.
Awesome video guys!
Thank you guys
Awesome video! I would love to check out a new c8 someday. I heard the new c8 runs widebands so it stays in closed loop at all times? So the factory computer can better compensate for the bolt ons?
Great build! Looking forward to seeing what else you do. Hoping the Magnusson package is better priced then the procharger one.
What we can tell you is the engine is removed to install the Magnuson- doesn’t sound fun
@@floridahighperformance Ohh wow. So much for bolt on. Procharger does no require that.
This is one of the biggest C8 builds to date. I researched a few of the parts you added. The intake and carbon ceramic brakes alone make this a monster. Being able to add the carbon ceramic rotors and pads is a value proposition. Being able to add those to my stingray is going to save me $150k on a Z06...Nobody has these brakes...
We appreciate the kind words. Wait till be twin turbo this thing :)
@@floridahighperformance you guys are great. I'm in Seattle. I have crap for shops. My C8 has been under 8" of snow since Xmas.
@@thereissomecoolstuff That's a little far from us LOL. Hey, put her on a transport truck and send her down..we would love to have the car here for some upgrades.
Cant wait to see either the Pro charger setup or the Magnusson supercharger. I would also like a demonstration of those superchargers in track conditions showing oil temps if possible. Please show the 60mph to 130mph times because thats the C8s achilles heel for track racing. Also can you guys put some Magnesium alloy rims on the car and show the weight savings. 6061 forged is still too heavy for this level of performance.
We are installing twins on this vehicle soon. If we have the opportunity to install a procharger we will review that as well!
I like the Sigala Designs frunk/hood and it would be great if it can be painted in carbon flash.
Yeah it fit really well and looks great...and can be painted any color you want!
Hmmmm i like those brakes!!👍🏼
So you guys are a high performance shop?I'm doing a build (supercharged)on my c8 in the first quarter of 2022..i'm here in west palm beach so maybe i'll get in touch and see what you can do with it👍🏼
I love your videos! Question?? I have the RB Performance rotors. Pads came with it will not stop the car on track. What pads did you use? Thanks!
Thanks a lot. Shoot me and email I’ll see what I can find out for you. Sales@flhighperformance.com

Where is that steering wheel from? My C8 needs that asap ! Oh sounds great btw !
Thank you. Steering wheel is sold by Vicrez.com
AMERICAN MUSCLE😎
That car sounds like it has anger management issues 😂
Just wait. We are installing a built motor and twin turbos AS WE SPEAK
Has the stock ecu not been unlocked by anyone yet? Crazy as I have seen two TT builds one remote style down below bumper in rear and above motor mount in the couple, maybe they used a stand alone system, I know the one guy was driving around with laptop open watching afr. Blows my mind that there are LTBs, intakes, etc without tuning the ecu. Wonder what it can put out once it's tuned up for the new supporting cast.
NO...stock ECU is encrypted from GM. Typical GM BS. We are working with Peitz Performance on one of their twin turbo kits for this red C8. We will publish an entire build video on the Vette - and will cover the standalone computers required to make it all work. Most are just using existing timing controllers like the one from LPE and either spraying a whole bunch of meth or are adding port injected fueling to add the fuel needed under boosted conditions.
@@floridahighperformanceoh the dual injection makes sense. The lmr kit for the coupes looks really cool mounted.above the motor. I'm pretty sure that a lot of the ecu are encrypted and it's unfortunate. I'm thinking there are some new right to repair and right to choice lawsuits still going on that will tell us which things will pan out for the future.
Why have you not wrapped the red pillar in-between the roof and front windshield as well as the portion that's connects to the deck lid. Would make a world of difference.
Just what the client asked for...we don't do the wrap stuff, we just make em faster...
How does that exhaust handle the heat and act without heat heat shielding? I been looking at different options for exhaust with this being one of them since I love corsa build but I see borla and fabspeed have heat shielding on theirs to address all the heating concerns
What in particular is your concern? There’s adequate shielding from he factory which surrounds the entire exhaust. We added the high temp shields on the back side of the wheel liners from Corsa- which was more for looks than anything. I’ve installed those other brands as well- which are all great quality and fitment and saw no difference between them and this Corsa/LPE system with regard to damage from lack of shielding. To be honest….I hope this answered your question. Erik
@@floridahighperformance oh ok well that’s good to know I have used corsa exhaust before and never had any issues with it just with the C8 so many different discussions I seen on forums on heat that’s why I was curious ! I saw that with that exhaust supposedly gains of 19whp and 15wtq! Would you say you saw those gains ? Listening to video seems like most of the gains are truly from manifold
Where in Florida are you located? I wouldn't mind having you do a few things to my C8.
Sunny Boca Raton- come and see us sometime. Sales@flhighperformance.com
Do you have to have NPP exhaust to have this an open and close the valves? I can't control engine sound past two modes when in mymode or Z mode, I see others can change to "track" and have four options instead of two, so i don't think I have the NPP option. So I saw this exhaust works for non-valve C8's , would that mean it'd just be one sound entire time or could I change it like you are?
Shoot me an email sales@flhighperformance.com
So how much total horsepower did you gain from the intake and the exhaust I saw the 25 horsepower gain on the intake but you should have gained some with the exhaust also
We figure about half of the overall power was gained with the exhaust, headers ad cat delete...give or take...
Wait do you have a vented hood on a ....frunk? What are you cooling? Groceries?
Keeps the flux capacitor cool actually
Can you do dyno so we can see the house numbers?
Check the article out: gm-efi.com/features/video-florida-high-performance-modifies-a-c8-corvette-for-increased-performance-improved-sound-and-better-drivability/
How much HP did you gain with Headers and new exhaust system
We figure that headers and exhaust, together, excluding the other mods were good for about 10-15 RWHP. The biggest gain was from the intake and TB. Together all the mods got us almost 30 rwhp after testing
What about for the convertible?
All of these mods with the exception of the intake manifold would apply….
How much for the engine bolt ons with installation? I am surprised that there is no lights without cats.
Please email me - there are a lot of options and variations. sales@flhighperformance.com

@@floridahighperformance I was looking to get a C8, but the Z51 will take 1-1 1/2 year to get and many used ones here are going for a $100k. I will have to hold on my low mileage C7 Z06 a little longer. I was just curious on the price for your package just in case I get a C8 sometime this decade.
Where can I find that hood?
I believe that was also from Sigala Design
What mods can I do to add 100 -200 hp?
You’d have to go boosted which is going to cost you well over 20-30k….easily
Is that eric from Lashway?
Yes that’s me- moved onto greener pastures
@@floridahighperformance Nice. you supercharged my 2017 c7. I've got a '21 c8.. let's get some exhaust on it.
@@michaellariosa3406 Hey Mike, I remember! No problem, I do a lot of the C8 stuff. Email me. sales@flhighperformance.com

You’re not scared of hitting bumps with it being lowered? It’s already really low to the ground?
Good question. To this point the owner has not bottomed out the vehicle or hit anything. This is the inherent risk of driving any sports car really….hitting debris in the road. Just have to be careful. The car is low but not slammed…so it’s manageable! Thanks for your comment and Checking out the video.
@@floridahighperformance yeah the c8 doesn’t seem as low as the c7, c8 defintiely not slammed to the ground and can go over most things I’d say
@@chrisg4997 yeah I’ve had some low C7’s come through and even those seem to do ok….
Ah, all that work and you guys left those wheels? 🧐🤔🤔
Wheels and turbos in the works....
Titanium paragon unit would be a much better choice imo.
Care to elaborate?
@@floridahighperformance saving 57lbs over the stock Z51. I'm assuming corsa is stainless? For a guy blowing that much cash on carbon fiber 4k should be pocket change. To each their own, I like performance.
@@nichaloslovely4992 cool so $4000, 52 lb savings- that def is a nice savings- but does it really matter on a street car? On a drag car, or something in competition then absolutely every pound counts. Guess it comes down to preference. I’ve installed a few tit exhausts on these cars and hell yeah they’re light. The Corsa was also much lighter than the stock set up. The stock stuff is crazy heavy!
@@floridahighperformance you guys do a procharger yet?
@@nichaloslovely4992 we had one on order- very early on. Customer switched to twins…which is what we are doing now.
I say add The exhaust and leave the rest alone
Only thing worth the change are the brakes and rotors.
Perhaps early on...but now that we can tune these cars, it is actually worth modding. We just started offering flex fuel tuning on these things...E85 picks up a ton of power with bolt ons. Episode on that drops next week.
Damn, all that for just 30hp increase…
Yeah not having basic tuning capabilities really sucks- but it is what it is. Thank GM for that!
THE CUSTOMER...THIS IS SUCH A BEUTIFUL CAR FROM THE FACTORY.......THIS IS RUINING..IT/SOME...CUSTOMERS ARE /WILL NEVER BE HAPPEY..NUFF-SAID!!
Your opinion - but it's his car!
Still prefer the sound of my C6Z...exhaust sounds much better when it's a manual.
Google “matte blue z06”
That was my old C6Z ….miss her like crazy. Was a bad bad car man- heads cam and spray- good time- and yes nothing like that LS7
@@floridahighperformance will do....I sold my Z also. Love my Gt350 but nothing like that z😪...I miss her llol
@@sizzahandz1 nothing like a C6Z
@@floridahighperformance amen brother 🙏
I like most most of the modifications except for those disgusting disgusting looking Wheels it just kills the look of the car completely I like shiny Wheels that have a intricate design and don't make the side of the car look like a plain Jane
Those are factory wheels- for now. It’s something we’ve discussed with the owner…perhaps the next time you see the car it’ll have some new shoes 👟 👍
dudes got carbon brakes and a 2 dollar wheel lock nice work lol change the dern lug nuts nobody wants those wheels otherwise great build
Can’t argue with that…$22000 Brixton Forged wheels coming soon- and new locks LOL
Fair enough super cool car look forward to seeing bolt on power it makes me want to send my c8 down to you guys
@@dupreemotorsports37 putting twins on it soon
They sound like a tractor at idle
Yes there are times where it’s a little “burbly” at idle- but she shines when engine speed increases. Believe me we all wish we could install a camshaft
Why would you put all those performance mods on and then add carbon ceramic brakes that will get destroyed after a couple track days? Turns this build from a performance monster to a show car, pretty disappointing imo.
He doesn’t track the car. The CCB’s will outlast any iron deal on the street- hands down. The stopping performance at higher speeds and lack of fade are all benefits. Not even sure what your point is- it’s invalid.
This guy talks like a ricer lmao
All that money spent but stuck with those ugly stock wheels
Custom wheels, twin turbos, built motor, and widebody kit in the works. Thanks for checking it out!
Get rid of those UGLY wheels!
Already on deck- and twin turbos :)
@@floridahighperformance hell yeah!!
those wheels are ugly.
Stock wheels suck for sure...check out the DYMAG wheels we installed on it on episode three of the turbo C8 build on our channel which comes out mid JAn 24...
Is there anyway to get little more burble on downshifts. Other than that she sounds awesome 🔥🫡
Now that we have tuning available on this platform, yes, we can mess with fuel delivery and timing when throttle is released...
