What a thoughtful and worthy tribute! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and emotions about the late Salming. I grew up in Sweden, idolizing Salming with his self-sacrificing style, and his ability to play through abuse and adversity at a time when, as you know as well as anyone, the NHL was, well, brutal. His puck moving ability and his ability to control games was ahead of his time. I’ve been tearing up over the tremendous amount of love and respect the hockey community has poured over Borje and his family. This tribute is no exception. Thank you Mr. Nilan! I have a tremendous amount of respect for you as well - both your skills and unquestioned toughness.

I respectfully disliked you Knuckles while growing up in Quebec City because you wore that dam Habs jersey but.... I totally love what you did as a player and are doing spreadig the love and respect for our beloved game. Love you Knuckles.

A year ago Börje was in a campain that told people to take the jab. It was called "kavla upp" which means "roll up" (the shirtsleeve). I'm not saying anything more about that. Make your own conclusions. You are missed Börje.
i remember him when i was young, with sittler they were the best players. i remember harold ballard lolol.they are the worst team of all time lol
Salming was great for more than a decade and in my time certainly the best Leaf ever. I always thought he played the game hard and he had to in those days.
