4: Expanding QEQM Hospital's Emergency Department in Margate, Kent. Dr Wayne Kissoon, ED Lead.

In the final part of our four-part series, Wayne Kissoon, Clinical Lead for Emergency Medicine at QEQM, Margate, talks about the exciting new expansion and refurbishment of the hospital’s emergency department.
Improvements and upgrades will include a 14-bed majors area, a 14-bed rapid assessment treatment area, a separate paediatric department (now up and running), a new consultation room for mental health patients, as well as a large meeting room and new office areas. These works will allow the team to “treat patients efficiently” and makes QEQM “a nice place to work, with a good work life balance”, says Kissoon.
