I've not had many come apart that easy!. They are a good source of timber but being a diyer I don't have access to all that equipment or a workshop the size of a double garage.
One of the best things you have built, especially for the little girl who can now get an ice cream from the freezer when she wants, and she is a great dancer.

I always crack and splinter the wood when trying to pull out all the nails. I think your pallets are of better grade wood then the crap I got. I also wish I had access to a power planner, guess I'll have to make do with a belt sander.
Belt sander works well too :) I am working on a similar learning tower and I have a desktop belt sander, it's sufficient!

Someone should take away the nail gun. With just a little more effort, it could last a long time. Such shoddy work. More examples of how not to build things.
