    If you are a U.S. citizen and your internship is less than three months, do you still need a resident permit?

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  Před rokem

      No, as a US citizen, you usually do not require residence permission for a three-month internship program in another nation. But, depending on the country's immigration regulations and the purpose of your visit, you may need to get a visa or other travel authorization. Specific admission criteria may be found on the website of the country's embassy or consulate.

    What about visa interview?
    The interview will be taken or not required interview for internship visa

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  Před 5 měsíci

      For those applying for a Germany Internship Visa, an interview at the German consulate or embassy is typically part of the application process. The interview is an essential step to assess your intentions, the details of your internship, your background, and how the experience is expected to benefit your professional development. The visa officers use this opportunity to ensure that applicants meet the requirements for the Internship Visa and to verify the authenticity of the documents submitted.
      During the interview, you might be asked about your internship offer, the company offering the internship, your qualifications, how you plan to support yourself during your stay, and your intentions after the internship ends. It’s important to be prepared, honest, and clear in your responses. Also, demonstrating a strong connection to your home country and the intention to return after your internship can be crucial, as the authorities want to ensure that visa applicants do not plan to overstay their visa.

    Hello, I am conducting an education master of science in italy. I have found a master-arbeit opputunity in Germany. The company send me a contract and I will apply for the German Visa from the Rome German consulate even if I have a residence permit in Italy. They told me it is longer than 3 months so you should take the D type visa. The company has given me contract and wrote as a free-lancer work type no working hours and they will pay me wage as compensation 900 euro monthly for a duration of six month. Should I apply to a praktikum visa? if so, I have to be in the minimum wage german law because it is 6 months. But, my contract seems like, it does not meet the reqs. What should I do? I am from Turkey a student continuing his master degree with a residence permit in Italy. Thanks for your time.

      Hi there! Given your situation, it seems you should apply for a D type visa for your internship in Germany. Since your contract specifies a free-lancer work type and a wage that may not meet the minimum wage requirements for a traditional Praktikum, it's essential to clarify a few points:
      Type of Visa: Confirm with the German consulate if the D type visa is suitable for your specific arrangement. Typically, internships longer than 3 months require a D type visa.
      Contract Details: Since your contract states a free-lancer work type, you should ensure it aligns with German labor laws for internships. Internships in Germany are usually subject to minimum wage laws if they exceed three months, but free-lancer contracts might have different stipulations.
      Minimum Wage Compliance: If your contract does not meet the minimum wage requirements, you may need to discuss this with your company. They might need to adjust the terms to comply with German regulations, especially since the internship duration is six months.
      Legal Advice: Consider seeking advice from a legal expert or an immigration consultant familiar with German labor laws to ensure that your contract and visa application meet all necessary requirements.
      In summary, apply for the D type visa, but clarify your contract details with both your employer and the German consulate. Ensuring compliance with German labor laws will be crucial for a smooth visa application process. Good luck!

      @visalibrary  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Your sister can sponsor you for a Germany Internship Visa while she is on an internship if her salary meets the minimum requirement for sponsorship. It is not necessary to wait for her job to become permanent to sponsor you. However, the stability of her employment situation and her financial capability to support you during your stay in Germany are important factors to consider in the sponsorship process.

    Hello, I live in Turkey. I want to do my engineering internship in Germany. Would it be sufficient to obtain a Schengen Visa for this situation?
    I would also like to state that I will receive an invitation from the other party.

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  Před 5 měsíci

      To do an engineering internship in Germany as an international student from Turkey, a Schengen Visa alone may not be sufficient, depending on the duration and nature of your internship. For short-term internships (up to 90 days within a 180-day period), a Schengen Visa might suffice, but you would need to specify the purpose of your visit as an internship to the German consulate or embassy when applying.
      For internships longer than 90 days, you would likely need a national visa for Germany (Type D visa) specifically for the purpose of completing an internship. This process often requires more documentation, including the invitation from the company or institution in Germany, proof of accommodation, sufficient financial resources, and possibly a contract or letter outlining the details of your internship.
      Since you mentioned receiving an invitation from the other party, this document will be crucial for your visa application. It's essential to check with the German embassy or consulate in Turkey for the most current requirements and procedures, as visa policies can change.
      In summary, for a short-term internship, a Schengen Visa may be enough if you clearly state the internship as your purpose of visit. For longer internships, you'll likely need a national visa for internships. Always consult with the German embassy or consulate for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

    Can we do post graduation internship in Germany if we have a job seeker visa? Or we need to change job seeker visa into work permit?

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  Před 2 měsíci

      No, you cannot typically do a post-graduation internship in Germany with a job seeker visa (aufenthaltserlaubnis für arbeitsplatzsuche). Here's why:
      Job Seeker Visa Purpose: This visa is intended for actively searching for a full-time job in Germany. Internships are considered temporary positions and wouldn't fulfill the job search criteria.
      Internship Visa: For a post-graduation internship, you'd likely need a specific internship visa (aufenthaltstitel für ein studiumbezogenes praktikum) or a visa for vocational training (aufenthaltstitel für eine ausbildung).
      Here are some options to consider:
      Change Visa: Explore the possibility of changing your job seeker visa to an internship visa. This might involve contacting the authorities and demonstrating you have a secured internship offer.
      Apply for Internship Visa: If changing visas isn't feasible, consider applying for a separate internship visa directly, ensuring you meet the requirements (internship agreement, financial resources etc.).
