    I have been riveted and broken hearted at the same time watching all your videos Darius. There are some positives. We cannot wait to get back to sxm. Especially thanks for showing lesplanade and grand case. I have been in touch with owner. We pray for all of you

    So sad! Does not look like any clean up has been done there. Hope they re-build. Thanks again Daruis. We shall be back on our favorite Island very soon and cant wait to see our many friends there.

    I was there last week. the beach was open, but taxis were only taking people to the nude side. the bar was open, with a woman giving massages in a little shack. it was very sad, but at least they are trying

    3 months since Irma and it appears not one single piece of debris has been picked up at Club Orient. Will they rebuild or will it end up like Maho after Hurricane Luis?

    *One year ago I was driving in those very same streets going to Orient Beach where I had a very nice squid steak, a blue cocktail and a massage. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw what the hurricane has caused to the island :(*

      Me too. In April of last year my wife and I danced wearing nothing but a smile at Papagallo's on Club Orient. We had hoped to return in October. This is very sad to see. Wishing the best, and dreaming of returning someday.

    The beach had 50-60 people this afternoon (Jan 2, 2018). Maybe half were naturalists. Other people are using the beach because umbrellas and lounge chairs are not available anywhere on Orient Beach. There is a bar/restaurant (Perch Bar) operating ... with Club Orient security personnel collecting fees for the beach chairs. I read in the local paper that taxis are forbidden to take cruise ship passengers to the beach to prevent voyeurism. Small operation at the present. Everybody is waiting for insurance money .... all stop until that day arrives.

      @hint0122 Před 6 lety

      David Ratka I find that hard to believe that they wouldn't allow cruise ship passengers.

    • @hint0122
      @hint0122 Před 6 lety

      David Ratka I hope that's not true now, I am going there in a few weeks.

    • @ratkade
      @ratkade Před 6 lety +1

      I was there 18 days and did see a few taxis there. Not a thriving business like last year. Have a great trip, we did.

    • @sandramiller9168
      @sandramiller9168 Před 6 lety

      So do I, since it is a public beach! Unless it's because of safety issues, certainly not voyeurism!
