      You can often buy cheap chassie's on ebay, ive seen unused tonykart chassies for less than £100. If your hoping to weld one up, you should look at youtube welding channels or get an expert to do it because its a skilled job if your not sure, welding isnt something anybody can do so get advice.

    I once had my old rotax running like a dog . Cutting out etc, Turned out that the breather/ overflow line ends were submerged in the contents of the overflow bottle that made it hard for the fuel pump to supply fuel to the carby consistently. Emptied overflow bottle shortened lines and it ran like magic.

    Des, If I'm a weekend warrior, can I run 50/50 green coolant in the radiator and leave it there for 12 months? Someone had mentioned to me that coolant is not recommended for the rotax pre evo engine as it may coagulate. I understand that some race tracks will not allow you to run coolant but I would prefer to have some radiator and engine protection against corrosion if possible.

Can you please advise if I can purchase all the bits and pieces that you recommend in this video in a simple kit? That is all the gaskets, spark plug and jets, etc. Or do I have to get them all individually? I have a 125 Rotax Senior Max. If they all available in a kit please advise where and about how much will it cost me. Much appreciate any help you can give this complete new boy into the world of karts. Regards.

    So i have an old DD2 that was running really rich so i disassembled the Carb and cleaned it and adjusted the needle position to the highest spot to lean it out a bit but now that ive got the carb back in i cant get it to start. Its not pulling any fuel from the tank. You can see when i "key" on the fuel just stays in the line as if the fuel pump isnt working anymore. is their a specific way you have to prime these fuel systems? I figured with the fuel pump it should just prime itself.

    • @oscarsomers8597
      @oscarsomers8597 Před 2 lety +2

      not even a chance, to start off this is a very old version of the rotax max engine and so is down about 5hp, you can convert it to an evo but that's like 1500 dollars so probably not really worth it. the chassis looks to be about 15 years old if not more and considering most comp drivers use their chassis for only half a year before they get a new one, this says enough. idk where you're from but in most places in europe your chassis needs to be within the last cik homologation which is from 2015 i believe and your rotax is sometimes required to be an original evo (not a conversion so you're looking at 2018 or newer). so i wouldn't get you hopes up for racing. but these things can be great fun just to drive around with for a cheap starting price, you can always upgrade later
