As a KR fan i have seen him develop and get to watch him every week its a pleasure. Hes far from the finished article, game management needs some work but at 22 im glad we seem to be building a team around him.

Reminds me a lot of Andy Gregory, the way he takes on the line, and ducks under with a burst of speed. Great player - great to watch.

New favourite player after Rob Burrow
First time seeing him. He seems very instinctive and knows how to read and break apart defences.
Ducker and weaver - with pace, initiative and strength.
I always said Lewis is the new rob burrow, now for Me to say that takes guts as Rob burrow was the reason why I got into rugby.

He is def built perfectly for a half , need to see more kicking playing half is about team management as well . He can certainly exploit lazy defence ..See how hw goes whe nplayig Australia , its always the yard stick ...
His game management has improved a lot this year, his kicking in overall has taken a leap. A lot more assists from kick plays to Tyrone May and Peta Hiku, and has a great partnership with back rower Kelepi Tanginoa and full-back Niall Evalds - so he's shown he builds great connections with players on the field
He is a running half, and while he has a good boot, I think the Roosters would be a perfect fit - great half pairing balance with Sam Walker and he compliments that team very well, if he can translate his game to the NRL.
He was superb vs Tonga last year that was full of quality NRL players
@@GooseStep1444 He def looks good , NRL defence is a lot tougher than almost every Clip in that highlights .. i rekon Norht QLD Cowboys with Tomy Deardon , Scott Drinkwater would be great . Chad townsend is off contract i think at the end of this year . I would like to see his block plays and defence . He has great excelleration and speed , that cant be taught to an adult .... In any form of Full contact sport , SPEED IS KING as you know .. Probably 5/8 maybe 2nd receiver i rekon he would be outstanding on the edge of the Ruckk . INterseting to see if he comes to Australia ... Great Video .. Cowboys are my tream shit if he went to Broncos i rekon they would win another premiership ... @@viol8r007 Yeah, NRL defence is on another level - he's an enthusiastic defender and plays with an edge - would love to see him on any NRL play-off side, no point in him going to a Wests, Titans, or Knights
As a neutral Origin has been good this year, setting up for a huge game 3... it's not looking good for your Maroons though...

Shame Lewis Murphy can't overcome injuries because he was looking like he had star potential before his ACL at Wakefield
@GooseStep1444 That game against the Storm about a month ago was probably one of his worst this season.
But you are 100% correct, when does his lack of defensive ability outweigh his scoring ability. He might need a run in the NSW Cup to sort himself out if he wants to continue in the NRL long term

Players come from the Aus Cup comps to the Super League and are bit part players. The Super League is a level above the QRL/NSW Cup but still levels behind the NRL, and that's okay - the more professional leagues in rugby league the better, no need to shrug it off.
Yes, the title is bait but if the title is too specific then it doesn't perform as well - I want rugby league to grow on CZcams, create more interest in the sport outside of live matches and reach different audiences, because currently - the Super League specifically are doing nothing

@@GooseStep1444 Aussie players tend to dip over to the Super League when they are on the outer a bit, it's rare to see a player in form head over there. That said, the top SL teams can definitely hold their own against the NRL sides - Penrith are 0-3 in the WCC over the last 3 years.
On topic, Mikey Lewis reminds of Ben Hunt a little bit, James Maloney had a similar play style as well. I'd have to vote Reece Walsh as one of the most exciting RL players overall - that kid is *fast*.
Oh, and SL have the best commentators, hands down.

Though the title is exaggerated, but pound-for-pound I would put Lewis in there as one of the more exciting

I wish I could agree with the commentators, they are pretty incompetent with calling the correct names - Super League jerseys have names on the back yet in every set there's a mistake of identity

Nobody in England thought Greg Eden was the next best winger, he was athletic and could finish a try but there's a reason he never made the England squad - he scored 41 tries in 31 games and was never consider in making the 2017 World Cup...
Hall was past his prime when he went to the NRL anyway... And Tomkins has said himself, NZW wasn't the right club for him to join.
If Lewis goes to the NRL next year it could be the Roosters to replace Keary - watch him vs Tonga last year, he's certainly proven he deserve a chance for a starting spot in the NRL - Shane Richardson has said he's on the radar of a few NRL clubs already.

@@RJT9 I'd be surprised if he plays first grade in 3 years lol. He'd be Top 30 in Q cup possibly. Definitely Top 30 in NSW cup. He'd be slower, weaker n older than his competition. His only strength would be as a ball running half as our half's are robotic n structured.
Ryan Hall is remembered as the Rooster who couldn't get a try as a winger, Tomkins is remembered as a hype train, Widdop was only decent in the storms structure. I'm the only Bronco who remembers Greg Eden. I hope this bloke comes over.
