    Julia mam... I want to start playing songs with 2nd and 3rd position. From where do I start... How do I learn... Should I learn all scales with 2nd position and then switch to songs. Please advise

    The song you play a bit of at 2:02 what is the name ! I am going to learn to play that and will play it some day. That little bit was beautiful and called my name

      It is Csárdás by Vittorio Monti. And that part she plays is also used in Alejandro by Lady Gaga, that's why it sounded familiar to me

    I can't do a vibrato. It's like patting my head and rubbing my tummy at the same time!
    I'm still new to this, though.

      @@deadmanswife3625 Hi Wendy. Yes, I actually have re. the vibrato. What helped for me, was to go through the mechanics of it for several days. Then remembering how it feels. Later when I wanted to add a vibrato, I more or less just thought about adding one and the body responds. It might sound like magic, but really isn't.

      There are eight primary positions. When we play higher that that we mainly us the word fingerings.
