Tried this recipe many times always turned out great but yesterday i doubled the quantity of ingredients and my batter got very thick moreover the cake didn't rise either can you tell me what may have happened?
I am sorry for that. Usually the thickness depends which flour you have used. And may be your baking powder was not working.

But you can make them in a big pot ( pattela) by putting a stand in its bottom and place your mold on it.

*only if your oven works a bit quicker*
I reccomend when cooking the rusk check every 3 minutes, because when I cooked them in 6 minutes they burnt from the bottom, *dont add so much butter it could cause burning and fire*.
When you are baking them at proper temperature and your oven is working normally then it will not happen. They will cook evenly. Yes this is important to change the side when one side is cooked otherwise it will burn.
