  • Great cover song by Brighton-based Fujiya & Miyagi who are influenced by 70's electronics as much as Krautrock and French 60's soundtracks and Ye ye pop. Those influences combine to glorious effect on yhis re-working of a track whose understated simplicity is embellished here with strong European sensibilities and which draws a clear parallel between New Order amd old world sophisticates like Manuel Gottsching or even Jean Michel Jarre at his warmest.

What's wrong with japanese? For your info Fujiya and Miyagi is the name of the band and they are from UK.

Nothing wrong with Japanese at all. Now the saki has worn off, I must apologise as they are clearly European. Wow, what a night / fortnight and thanks for the info.

The name is for a Japanese Anime, not cause there are of Japan, are of ENGLAND

The band are from Brighton in England. The name came from a poster of a lot of old record players, one of which was called a Fujiya(Japanese electrical company); and Miyagi is the name of the old mentor in The Karate Kid.

Agree with BernardHChrist ... fantastic interpretation about a classical New Order song, but needs to be sung in an harsh North European voice, not a Japanese one.

So great...until he starts singing. Such a shame about the vocal.
