    A HUGE THANKYOU! my 2003 jeep liberty was misfiring codes 300, 301,305,306. I don't know anything about working on vehicles. But after watching what you do in this video. I did the "exact" same to my jeep. It worked. Right on! I can dig it.....

    "Dam jeeps" is right. years ago I worked on a 1970 Jeep commando the thing could plow snow like a champ. Floor boards were rotted out to the point we saw the ground passing us underneath.If I recall it had a Ford starter and Buick straight 6 engine.a guy I work with has a 2001 Cherokee v8 out of the blue it developed a rod knock recently. Of course it did this after he put a whole next exhaust on it and new shocks! Welcome to my world lol. His mechanic is telling him the jeep has a BMW engine.still all in all Jeeps are really popular never owned one but you never know. I might hit my head on somethingthe used liberty's up in NJ area sell pretty cheap but rust out too. swapping those coils should also prove that their is no mechanical or fuel injector issue. good job Timmy nice video

      Hey Mike, between you and Kelly W (commented below), I'm losing faith in Jeeps, lol. I think it's because we haven't worked on many, but recently, we have been putting up some videos on them, especially for a misfire.

    • @Novisk58
      @Novisk58 Před 7 lety

      Timmy I'm watching the v6 one now. about 2/3rds through. guessing intake manifold gaskets.I think all vehicles have there issues some more than others. The thing that ticks me off a bit is the manufacturers know about these issues and normally wont stand behind the vehicles they sell. don't even get me going on VW's that could be the rant of the decade"Ok be right back"have a good onetell Silvia to put the Jeep dealers number on speed dial

    • @OnlineAutoRepairVideos
      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  Před 7 lety

      LOL, you and me BOTH on the VW's, mainly about the transmission issue. You gave me a great idea, we should do a show on the worst car manufacturers out there when it comes to vehicle breakdowns.

    • @Novisk58

      Timmy, those could be good videos and really help someone when buying a used car.. I find it interesting that on Craigslist people say everything is good with a car but the check engine light is on for an o2 sensor. Sensor is only $40.00. if that was the case why would they not replace it.you see many Subaru adds stating that the headgaskets were replaced do you think Subaru's have head gasket issues?The next time you ride behind newer VW's pay attention to the rear lights. I see a whole lot of them running around with burnt out taillights. Its just strange to see a lot of 2 year old cars running around with lights out. I own a 04 and 05 Camry does that tell you something? I have an 05 Pilot which I like but I've done a bunch of routine work on it. Not surprising since it has 232k miles on it. Now the rear hvac blower motor is squealing like crazy. what can you expect.the 04 Camry has 180k miles have owned that since it had 33k miles. Fell upon the 05 with 78k miles we'll have that one for a while. The Camry's wont quit.

      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  Před 7 lety +1

      We have a customer who argued that the only reason the check engine light was on in her car was because of the gas cap, she said that it had been on since she bought it and that's what the people she bought from told her...lol. If that was the case, why didn't they just change the cap? People are funny...lol

    i dont suppose the same process can be used for a 2006 jeep liberty limited, can it?

  • @danglemyd0ngle768
    @danglemyd0ngle768 Před 8 měsíci

    What if it’s not the coil? My liberty has a cylinder 6 misfire and I’ve changed the injector, coil, and the plug and it still has the misfire

    Man, I wish you were in my neighborhood. I appreciate your knowledge but I'm a carpenter and this shit's driving me, already broke one thing and haven't even got the valve cover off yet! And yes, I've checked out your other videos. Just not my forte.

    I am getting this code and when it's started the engine makes a tapping sound along with a little whitish smoke coming from the engine bay. What could this be?

  • @JennyLenz8
    @JennyLenz8 Před 7 lety

    We need one of those code readers! We use a Bluetooth one that we have an app for that works good.

    • @OnlineAutoRepairVideos
      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  Před 7 lety

      Hey Jen!! A lot of people try to get you to spend money on the higher code readers, but in all reality, all you need to know is this:
      1. The code
      2. What does the code mean
      3. What are the possibilities of why that code appeared
      4. And how to check those possibilities
      GET THIS: We set a box of milk bones on top of Silvia's desk, she left out the room and Bear jumped on her chair, then onto the desk, and got into the box, lol. For the last few days we have been trying to get him to do it again while recording it.

    I did this the exact same code was showing up I replaced my spark plugs and coils and the check engine light showed up and the same code popped up what would you consider to be follow on procedures ?

    • @OnlineAutoRepairVideos
      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  Před 4 lety

      I'm going to assume you cleared the check engine light after you changed the plug and coil. If so, check the fuel injector.

    • @jordanreddell4176
      @jordanreddell4176 Před 3 lety

  • @royquesada5295
    @royquesada5295 Před 3 lety

    I would of switched it with one on front. So if it bad, it is easier to remove and knowing the one I put on #6 is good, I don't have to remove coolant tank again.

    • @OnlineAutoRepairVideos
      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  Před 5 lety

      Check to make sure their is a spark, check injector pulse, the injector, and if all those are good, check compression.

      Did you check the spark plugs, have you done a compression test on that cylinder, and also check the fuel injector.

      Check it the way we did in this video so you can verify it's the coil, because it might be something else.
