Soloing a Big Ash Tree!

Hi Kevin. Thanks for giving your decision process. I'm still learning. With the more upright limbs and the narrow vehicle notches, why not just let the saw kerf be the notch? Appreciate it.

Most of the time I do just use the saw kerf. And that gives me enough movement there’s a little more risk of overhead strike I’ll open it up, just a little to move those branches out of my way. Case by case basis, make sure your head is clear from above branches.
