- Liverpool have suffered a shock home 0-3 defeat to Atalanta in their Europa League quarter-final. Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp rang the changes at half-time, bringing on Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai and Andy Robertson but it was Atalanta who struck again in the 60th minute before sealing a historic victory with a third goal seven minutes from time. 'We played a bad game. We deserved to lose,' Klopp said.

you ll never eat polenta alone!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣!!!!!
They wouldn't admit it but this is ideally what a new incoming Liverpool Manager would want cos nobody really wants the pressure of taking over from Klopp directly after winning a Quadruple!
exactly. But to be honest, Liverpool has no quality enough to win the quadruple.
They'd want to give up trophies just so next season there is less pressure and they can go and challenge for trophies? The pressure coming after Klopp won't change much, no matter what Klopp wins. His legacy is there even if Arsenal or City win the league.
Also. Aren't Liverpool already out of the FA Cup? It's already just a treble at best. I think the fixture list helps Liverpool, for the Premier League that is. Definitely Arsenal have the harder task, despite the goal difference. Europa League is too much of an uphill battle now, with the 2nd leg away from home. Not unreasonable to say they won't get through but it's hardly Sparha Prague again.
On a side note. There wasn't much pressure for Emery after Wenger left. Due to recent failings. But with Liverpool, there success was too large over a period under Klopp. Including the League Cup this season, already. The pressure won't leave, in my eyes.
All his hundreds of millions spent on players and he loses to a team that cost less than Darwin Poonez. 😁
