Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! CZcams's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we'll take an up close and personal, in depth look at this custom 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STI.
During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

Amazing how a car like this can make such an aggressive growling sound even coming from a 4 cylinder engine. It sounds so unique and monstrous.
The headers aren’t equal in length from one side too the other that’s why they sound that way also this is one of the most unreliable cars ever made you’d might as well buy a rotary
I'd love to own one of these for college. Even the non STI version.

@@mattgillespie7649 If you don't know how to properly maintain one, yes. My '05 STI has 160k miles flat but has been stock all its life and the previous owner drove it from 30k miles to 159k miles and had no issues at all. Then again, he babied it all throughout his ownership and never thrashed on it and used it as only a commuter. If you change the oil when needed, don't do WOT pulls on high gears at low RPM's, and don't heavily mod it, you should be just fine.

Yeah, I saw that! I'm sure it will be pricey. I had a royal blue 04 STI. I sold it for a new Civic SI Coupe.
I’m pretty sure this was ours. We didn’t drive it much because it was just for fun. We had 2 other cars, a truck, and 2 Harleys. Always garaged in our 3 car garage. Originally all silver but we had it painted by Bob Neil paint shop to add the black with red accents. We had it tuned in Atlanta. Only road trip it ever made.
getting one less than a month but in a WR blue with gold wheels, cant wait :D

I've had my STi for 12 years this June and it's been a torrid love affair everyday. I generally don't run the AC so I listen to the engine. I LOVE this car. I put a catback exhaust and a cold air intake, changed the horn to something lower in tone. Could not be happier. My wife suggested I get a newer model but why get rid of something perfect?

Stis are great cars, especially when you mod them well. the paint is corny yes, but the car is beyond awesome. Stis have such great resale value. you wont get one for cheap... so people saying this car sucks. you don't even know what you're talking about!

I'm not fond of many imported cars, but I must say your review made me like the WRX. It was an unbiased video with only the facts being expressed about the vehicle. Nice job staying unbiased to this day in your videos Kyle.

The 05 model is nice, I prefer the 06 model looks a bit better but thats just my opinion.
Is 06-07 your favorite model? As opposed to the more recent GR/GV models and the new one?

This looks like our former car. Is it tuned? We had ours tuned in Atlanta. The paint was done in Winston Salem. We sold it in Lewisville NC to a young man. Lots of people messed with us but we left them all in the dust. If this isn’t the one we sold, it is its twin. Edit: just watched to the end. Yep pretty sure that’s ours! I have the VIN and can verify. I miss that little monster! When he wound it up on the highway, we could hear the “whistle” of the turbo.

I really wish I had the money for even a decently used one....I love the Subaru WRX STi...I currently own a 95 Legacy Wagon with the 2.2 under the hood. Something I will always keep well maintained.

Great car, but that paint job makes the car look cheap. Just black or blue would be more then enough.
at least it doesn't have those typical generic "Underground splash or tribal vinyls" that screech the eyes.
This looks like a tribute to the STI Paul Walker drove in Fast 4 (Colour scheme wise)...

This car is definitely better than those other European cars at Foreign Car Italia. It has speed AND reliability.

Oh those blue seats in the STi and those Rust red leather seats in the Spec.B SOA wasnt known for looks or styling but the rest is rock solid. The 05 is my fav WRX ouside of the 15 STi
I'd really prefer to listen the actual sound system of the car instead of an edit-added music. I know you can't turn the radio on because of copyright issues but you can use the CD you recorded. At least a few seconds so I can consider if it is good or not.

well, I prefer the hawkeye version of this and 2001 Toyota chaser jzx100. This blob eye version looks slightly ugly.

Such beauty... I prefer these from the Evos because for one, looks better overall, two, sounds better, and three, handles FAR better. (Just my opinion so please don't hate). And this is coming from a muscle car guy.

I would ditch the Pontiac, they're not a company anymore and finding parts for anything Pontiac will get more and more difficult. Plus it's no contest against a STI anyway.
Germ .Fish actually no. Finding parts is as easy as finding parts for any Chevrolet. This shares everything (except some body panels) with the Camaro

The owner of this car did a terrific job modifying this one. Very tasteful and clean. I like old subarus vs the new ones. Better styling and interiors. Subarus new interiors are awful

I don't think that there are any cars that can compete with STi's and EVO's for value, usability and power, seriously name another car that can carry 5 people, drive in mud/snow and destroy more powerful cars on the track.

Really awesome sound on the subies. I'm a Mitsu guy really, but I've always had a thing for the Subarus as well. Almost went for a Legacy at one point.

Ill tell you what, This WRX is a VERY Clean example for being a 2005 model with 20k+ miles as well!! Another Great video Bro! Im working on buying a sports car, which doesnt have to be new because the cars going to be on my project list and will get built from the ground up unless I go Brand New. Im just going through and getting reviews on all models I like. I would like to buy a R33 GTR Skyline but there is still 5 more years ahead that I have to wait through because of the 25 year law!! I would like to find out if there is anyway I can still import the R33 that I want and just.. not drive it for 5 years, but still build it like I want to.

You guys realize the paint is like this because at the time that was cool. And the car has only seen under 30,000 miles so I doubt the old owner had driven it around the time it was going out of style.

Nice review Kyle (*****). It's impressive that after all these year's, the WRX is still a unique, yet also, one-of-a-kind sports car to get the behind the wheel of & I'm confident that the new 2015 version will be able to still carry on the tradition of doing just that.
