BMW E46 EWS Faults, Crank No Start, Ignition Beeping, & Key Not Programming REPAIR VIDEO 325xi M54

In this video we show how we repair an EWS issue on an e46 325xi. The symptoms of these issues were the ignition beeping endlessly with the key removed, EWS faults stored in the computers, random crank-no-start condition, EWS lockout, and the key buttons not operational or programmable. We show how to remove the EWS3 module, download the existing VIN file to a computer, copy that file to a donor EWS module, and reinstall the EWS module.

Great video, started running into this issue recently with a new key, than the whole module went out. Just picked up an AK90 and am pending on a module.

Hi there - new to this coding lark - having issues with a crank no start on 2006 E90 325xi - INPA shows fault when running "EWS start value comparison" getting a API Result text error #19 - No response from control unit - Continue with script process? Y/N? Hit Y and get error box with exclamation titled "Wechelcode_sync_DME" (CAS start value comparison runs just fine) - Question - would you know if this an INPA api error or EWS sys error? Many thx

So you just have to program a new key with the hood locksmith?

If you use the tool I used in the video you can program your own keys! I programmed an ews but the same tool will do keys
