      Thanks Todd. I think that the height of the splitter will let me split right into the trailer. I can then move it to the place to pile or stack it. Spruce is right. Actually it blue spruce. The bigger one is 39”.

      I agree on using quality equipment. If you maintain it it will last a very long time.

    Gently used is a relative term. I have watched countless hours of that machine in particular at work. You have a great machine. I guess one might compare the gentle use to a retired stunt woman’s corvette. Keep up the good work.

      That’s right. It will take me a very long time to match the hours that was on the machine when I purchased it.

      I have only split a small amount (face cord) but like how it’s working so far.

    Nice wood splitter. Can't beat wood heat during the winters. Been cutting and burning wood for 24 years and still split with my maul and use my wood splitter too! Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin

      Thanks Justin. I have split more wood then I can count with sledge and wedge, as well as maul. It’s nice to have this guy for sure.

    That's a real nice machine you got there Robert. Looks like you got plenty of work for it to do. Stay safe and take care.

      Plenty to cut and split. Most of it can be pushed through just once. Should go much faster than what I have used in the past.

    Looks like a great machine! In the upper Midwest, I would say that is red pine you are splitting, but if you are now up in Colorado, maybe lodge pole pine?

    • @InMyBusyLittleShop
      @InMyBusyLittleShop  Před 2 měsíci +2

      Thanks for commenting. It’s not lodge pole pine. I like the guess.

    I learned in the 1980s when we stayed at a dairy farm in Vermont and helped with the haying that loose stacking (higgledy biggledy) was the way to go. Much more air flow for less heat build up, less handling, bales only about 15lb. and much less strain on the muscles from picking up 50/60lb bales.

    • @InMyBusyLittleShop
      @InMyBusyLittleShop  Před 2 měsíci +2

      Hey Freddie! I normally just pile for a bit before “stacking” the firewood. It’s dried faster. I’m ahead on the firewood and this wood will not be burned for at least 18 months.

  • @freddiemoretti8456
    @freddiemoretti8456 Před 2 měsíci +3

    What more would you need? Maybe a conveyer system to take the logs away and loose stack...

    • @InMyBusyLittleShop
      @InMyBusyLittleShop  Před 2 měsíci +2

      A conveyor would be handy. I’m not set up yet but I think the splitter is tall enough to split over the side into my trailer! Time will tell.

    Awesome addition and you’ll bust down those logs in no time! The Pro 28C is a nice machine. That’s gentle lol compared to some I suppose.

      Can be a bit funny (well I think so) at times. The rest of the time just odd.
