How to make Easy traditional Greek Halva

  • Hello everybody! This is my grandmother’s traditional Greek recipe for Halva. She taught me how to make Halva when I was 5 and we were poor in the village in Greece. I hope you love this recipe as much as I do and enjoy eating it too!

    Ingredients include:
    -1 cup Raw sugar
    -1 cup of plain flour
    -1 cup of rice or vegetable oil
    - 2 cups water
    Optional extras:
    -Powdered Cinnamon
    -Almond flakes

    Minds me of when I was a sprat on the island. The first thing we kids all learned to make, at about 4 years old, was coconut candy.
    Of course, we all had to scramble in the jungle to get our own coconuts! X'D

    We make jst like this but with semolina flour...better..pls try.

    We do in iran but we first roasted flour , and add rose water and saffron
