I Remember Watching this Show as a kid. It was So long ago.
That show was intense.
This wouldn't be the last we'd see of Mike Farrell on CBS. Five years later in 1975, Farrell landed on another CBS show M.A.S.H. as Captain B.J. Hunnicutt.
I remember watching this Fridays at 8. Stephen Brooks, Sherry Jackson and Sandra Smith later got prominent spots on episodes of Star Trek. Broadrick Crawford, Diane Baker, Torin Thatcher, Bert Convy and Elaine Giftos.
STAR TREK was on a few years before this show. Do you mean they had prominent STAR TREK roles?
Sherry Jackson also played in an episode of Batman as the moll for Riddler (Frank Gorshin)
A taste of pre-game show Bert Convy...the one who was in the original cast of both FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and CABARET
Replaced the late _Get Smart_ Fridays on CBS.
And Tim Conway's 30 minute variety show...replaced by his 60 minute one Sundays
Apparently Mike Farrell played a doctor very well
Mobituaries sent me
I had crushes on them❤ all
0:31 shows Bert Convy of "Tattletales" fame.
I remember this show didn't last very long. However it was a jumping-off point for some stars. My Mom noticed one shortly after on "days of our lives."
A cross between _Medical Center_ and _The Mod Squad._ The first new Screen Gems vehicle on CBS since the 5th and final season of _Hazel_ in 1965-6.
Apparently Screen Gems never quite had a good track record on CBS... 😕
ABC has had the most success with their Sony shows (the shows from SG/CPT/CTT and SPTV), especially in the 70s when Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg produced them (The Rookies, SWAT: TOS, Starsky and Hutch, Charlie's Angels, and Fantasy Island, to name a few). Sony has had success on CBS, but only recently. Here are several examples:
In the 80's SG's successor Columbia Pictures TV had a hit show on CBS, Designing Women, which ran from 1986 to 1993. Produced by Mozark Productions (a production company owned by DW creators Harry Thomason and Linda Bloodworth-Thomason) in association with CPT.
In 1993, the CBS sitcom The Nanny starring Fran Drescher premiered, originally distributed by TriStar TV which later folded into Columbia/TriStar TV; The Nanny aired until 1999.
And of course SWAT, the reboot, on CBS (2017-2024)
Those series are now distributed under Sony Pictures TV (the successor to SG, CPT, and CTT).
Today that contemplative monk's sideline wouldn't be farming, but Fox News commentator...
Oh that music...too many horns.
There's nothing wrong with the music and you can never have too many horns. I'm giving your comment thumbs down!
