All the Overlords get to do whatever they want and they basically own the pride ring only bounded to one rule, Lucifer and Lillith will always be number 1 and must respect them at all times.
Overlords are like monopolistic criminal bosses, not the state power of Hell.

The overlords can do to other sinners what they want, as long as they stay out of the noble's businesses.
My theory is that the pride ring had its own original demons and overlords. Then the human sinners came, overcrowded them and somehow, a few got powerful enough to overthrow them.
I like to think that there are a few demon lords that survived and are plotting to get back at the human sinners.
That’s likely the motivation for Ross in season 3 and striker wanting to hunt down overlords

I would say envy because I am hype to see the backstory of Moxxie and how he got hired and Millie backstory killing the 2 sharks in the helluva 2022 trailer
I think that Moxxie is forced to work for those guys because his father owes them a debt and we see a sneak peek that he and that shark are robbing a bank and Millie is going to rescue him
I’m a little confused on how Lucifer is so prideful that he won’t let sinners into other rings but he’ll still let people rule with him
I think Lucifer wants to get back at God by corrupting and destroying Humans. He confines them to the Pride Ring so the Exorcists can massacre them easier.
Tyrants as early as 400 bc would let other tyrants help and to a lesser extent share power over there way of ruling, but these sharing’s or helpings of ruling/power usually ended in death for one tyrant/ruler, which usually happened by hired assassins or suicide or direct killing. Look at the Roman empires history if your really interested in how it would or could work like in hazbin hotel
I've heard it said that the other rings are smaller then pride so it might be a logistical issue, and they might not be the same sort of ruler and it's more "this is who is responsible for making sure it functions".
I know this is an old comment, but after season one of Hazbin on Amazon, my guess is Luci wants to protect the sinners from being exploited even worse by sins like Mammon. Or he wants to protect hellborn from the Exorcists, since this has nothing to do with them.
seeing how moxie is in the beginning, when he's conflicted about shooting a mother shows that the natives of hell aren't inherently evil, and that maybe hell might've been a nice place until heaven dumped all the rejects into it
I think it's just the cultures being different between the rings and lacking immortality. imps and other natural born species actually value their lives and to their knowledge live only once. They live a short time meaning they are scrambling for value and don't have the burden of "failing life" that sinners have to live with as they died and ended up in hell. Most Sinners are probably unwilling to change because they feel as if they already failed, what's the point of seeking value when you are immortal and already damned by heaven.

I'd love to see an Overlord based on the Punk Rock/Metal era of music. Like a full on anarchist who just wants to tear down existing power structures and reject authority.
His main ability would be pumping up people with his music so when he goes on the warpath it just looks like a giant moshpit just breaking and burning everything.

when vaggie is discussing with angel about alastor and the other overlords you can see a silhouette of a demon that is most likely husk behind him in the picture with all the overlords 3:05.
We also get a glimpse of him in the same explanation potentially implying that husk had a pretty big role in alastor becoming an overlord?
Though this is only the pilot episode and things are subject to change I feel vivziepop may have some big plans for husk but that's just what im starting to think. i feel it's in the realm of possibility.

Though I feel there is something..... interesting, for lack of a better word, between alastor and husk. Husk and alastor clearly have some kind of history and I feel it's safe to assume husk is indebted to him. Also don't forget that glowing red aura and the fact that it's directly behind alastor seemingly obscured by shadow.
When alastor convinced husk to help run the hotel husk seemed like he wasn't entirely against it to me. He said "I ain't doing no charity job" I believe. And it really wasn't all that hard for alastor to convince him to help either.
I think husk is both cool and uncool with alastor to some degree. Alastor annoys husk but it appears husk is willing to help so long as he gets something out of it. A gamble of receiving what he's owed for his assistance if you will (big stretch I know).
This is just speculation of course and doesn't really have much stable ground but who knows?
Wouldn't it be funny if husk was the secret behind alastor's quick ascension and manifesting with all that power? Haha.
Love that someone brought that up. My going theory for Husk is that he either was the Overlord in control of the Casino and Gambling industry, or was at least trying to be. It really looks like most if not all the Overlords have something in their designs that represent what they rule over.
Maybe he made a deal with Alastor to help him get there in exchange for his loyalty? It would kinda make them a parallel to Vox and Valentino in a way.

He was one of the Overlords Alastor toppled? It never says he killed all the Overlords, only that he toppled them.

Husk is running the gambling industry and he is amazing at what he does obviously. THE EXTERMINATIONS.
To keep his industry alive and his power he needs to get some serious muscle. He stumbles into alastor out on one of his walks and witnesses his power first hand. He proceeds to make a deal with him to eliminate the competition.
This plays another role allowing all the focus to be on the super powered alastor while husk fades into the background maintaining his position of overlord and overshadowed by alastor. Now everyone will forget about husk making him no longer a target for others to steal power from.
Or alastor is more like a safety net for husk. Only lunatics and idiots mess with alastor and husk makes a deal that alastor fights his battles for him. Now no one will want to mess with husk.
Husk in this scenario has the strongest ace up his sleeve.
Once again just some thoughts. I would enjoy if this was what actually happens

What if the two made a deal that acts kind of like a game between the two? Like a loser takes the others soul kind of situation? Husk is a Gambler and Alastor loves to be entertained so I could see Husk taking the bet that he would win, and Alastor taking the deal because he thinks the game would entertain him as long as it lasts.
I really have no idea what the details of the game could be but it would explain how Husk can speak to Alastor like an equal (something that even Charlie has trouble with initially), despite being weaker than him. Because until the game is won, neither are really beneath the other.
I'm kind of banking on it being the Parallel with Vox and Valentino point I made though, especially considering that you could look at Nifty as their Velvet. So you would have Vox/Alastor as the leader and the one who has the most power, Valentino/Husk another Overlord who is subservient to the leader but still has plenty of independence, and Velvet/Nifty the young girl who the other two look after but still has her own skills and uses.

I feel that alastor is entertained by how husk speaks to him and that's one reason he doesn't show any force. The other being husk is indebted to him.
Nifty is hard to get a handle on. I get some serious serial killer vibes from her. Her obsessiveness with cleanliness, the immediate curiosity of if there were any men in the hotel and freaking out not seeing any she could identify, and how her pupils dilate when talking about "new friends".
Could also be hellhounds once lived in the pride ring, only to lose it and end up as servants to every other race, including imps.
I just wished that the hell born creatures were given some sort of ability or position in hell rather than serve as labor workers…
At least they can cross through different rings…

I'd like to see a video explaining your opinion on how hellhounds (the lowest species) can have human versions like stolas (a powerful prince) but imps cant
its explained the imps can buy outfits, but just haven't done it, and were hoping stolas could use magic to give them free ones.
I would assume higher ranked demons or natural born demons with a purpose of going to earth are able to have human disguise in order to do there main goal of bringing human souls to hell.
Imp by default do not have a main theme of how they bring new human souls to hell. Imps are meant to be used by demons like Stolas and Ozzie for things like the end of days of the endless war of angels vs demons. Unlike hell hounds who can sniff out or see sinners or souls that are corrupted enough to go to hell. Or even succubus and incubus that main souks through lust bring new human souls to hell.
If you read old ideology texts stoles is supposed to have 26 legions of demons under his command, best assumption those would be imps.
Tying back to the idea of how lower demons get disguises It has to be from a high ranked demon like Stolas or Ozzie to create with a strong enough power source. As Stolas is a demon described as one with crystals it's possible he could create such an item. As for other means I could only imagine these items are very expensive and probably not readily available so for low ranked imps could only be a dream to get or connections.
They never bought the potion or whatever magical item or spell is used through stolas said he could give them human disguises but his power was limited

I think every sinner is given power depending on his skills, abilities in life, but it is given very little, for example teleportation only 10 meters and the like. With the help of angelic weapons, you can take the powers of others, and making deals with the soul can pump your abilities, the more deals the better. Magical powers are something else, they need to be studied.

@@bob74h67 Everyone is given power, but it is very small, for example, teleportation by 10 meters, etc. By concluding a successful deal with the soul, you can pump the power twice, for example.
That's how I've been looking at it myself. Everyone gets a special ability as soon as they enter hell based on how they lived their life, and they can power up that ability by taking people's souls.

Guys what’s your theories on Velvet? Like how do you think she died? What decade did she die? And also at what age? I’d love to know.
I think Velvet is somewhere between 17-early 20s since I think Vox had texted that they were near the same age on Instagram. When she died might either been the late 2010s-this year. I'm not too sure how she died but either she died while texting and driving, suicide, or she killed a bunch of people and ended up getting killed. She's also a doll demon so she might of had self image issues and either starved herself or injected stuff that made her look pretty of just killed herself.
Vox I would say is between 25ish- late 30s since again that text. He might of had been killed on stage either on accident or a rival tv company. Or had his sexuality leaked and it was the 50s which didn't like people being gay and he took his own life.
And Valentino might be either in his late 30s-early 40s, I always think of him being the oldest one of the group. And obviously the pimp life killed him either from drug overdose, gang violence, police, a hoe who had enough, or even died in prison. Though his smoking habit might of had a hand in that too either from cancer or falling asleep with it in his mouth.

However I have to say I disagree with what was put on Instagram because there is no way vox and velvet are the same age, or even died at the same age. Vox died in the 1950s (canonically I think) and probably was around late 20s-mid 30s, and I agree with you that velvet was probably either a teenager or early 20s. So there is just no way.
Love your theory on Valentino too. I agree about the age thing, he probably was in his late 30s early 40s. However I read someone else’s theory and kinda made it my own head canon which I’d love to share. There theory was basically that he died of syphilis
And looking into the symptoms it kinda makes sense

- and it can also make you go blind
He’s mostly likely kinda blind, having to wear those glasses all the time which are probably prescription glasses. That’s just a brief summary of it, which I kinda liked.
And funny you mention about Vox committing death (I don’t want CZcams to censor me 🙄) because my sister actually brought up that theory to me, and it would kinda make sense since back then being gay was definitely not something that would’ve been taken lightly by society.
Oh and another thing, I seriously hope the next redesign we see is of Valentino. I hope they don’t change much tho because I really love his design.

It was confirmed she died in the 2000s likely a few years before vaggie. She’s in her early to mid 20s and she tried to recruit vaggie into the VVV gang and it was revealed last year during pride month she’s a lesbian and she’s the weakest overlord and is only considered one because of her ties with Val and Vox she’s also a doll demon

I always thought the siners can’t leave pride to be an actual law of nature. Otherwise wouldn’t siners appear in every ring of hell.
I personally think Hell would actually be MORE technologically advanced than earth, because of how much older it it. I’d imagine Imps and Hellhounds would have been around much longer than humans, and thus would have started things like the industrial revolution a long while before earth.

Overall the 7 rings of Hell seem to be a very survival of the fittest environment. You can largely do as you please and are even encouraged to indulge your vices as long as you remember your place on the food chain.

@Cartoon Universe I think the way that that overlords On how they can Conquer the pride ring of hell is bay banding a small team of them take out the royals of hell one by one the team I would put together would be the 3vs and Alastair,Rosey and Charry Bomb and Angle Dust with having each one having a target to kill for the overlords to become new rulers over hell witch they would target each go after the 7 Princes of hell witch can put the over lords into direct conflict with Charlie, Vagy, the hell of boss cast and the 7 princes of hell could be something really cool to see.

In my story I'm currently planning, sinner demons gain power by defeating/killing other demons and absorbing their essences. Not to go too into it, but my main character is a human/hellhound hybrid that starts out at the bottom of Hells ladder and gradually moves up the hierarchy.

@@CartoonUniverse I have a theory: The Pride Ring is divided into the nine circles that Katie Killjoy talked about in the pilot. The First Circle is ruled only by the Overlords (Valentino, Vox, Velvet, Alastor, Rosie, Zestial, Missi Zilla, and others), while the other eight circles are ruled by the ars goetia kings (Bael, Paimon, Purson, Beleth, Zagan, Balam, Vine, Belial). Each king rules one circle. Officially confirmed that Imp City is in the second circle (which is possibly ruled by Paimon)

The demons of each ring are meant to embody that sin, right? What if the natural born demons of the pride ring are the nobility? Some of the most prideful people I can think of are those who were born into money/nobility and think of themselves as better than everyone else and scheme to remain that way.
I wanna know does Alastor have an alternative way of killing demons permanently or were angel weapons available back when he got to hell? Cause he killed overlords easily. Also why doesn't he just kill Vox since he hates tv so much? Is he more powerful than Alastor or does Alastor secretly enjoy their conflict? Or maybe Alastor is ordered to not kill anymore overlords from a higher being? Or maybe killing just isn't fun for Alastor anymore so he only kills in self defence or defending someone else. If angel weapons were available back in 1933 I wonder how long the extermination has been going on and if the hotel is the only idea Charlie has ever had or if she only recently started caring or has known about them
With Pride being the first of the seven sins, I'd wager that the mentality most overlords hold is survival of the fittest. In many ways, it is what we have now in the modern day. I'm sure plenty of people can give testimony to doing whatever they can to survive in a particular industry or field of practice. The Three Vs. Found their own way through their own sectors, respectively. Honestly, the only person who breaks that mold is Alastor.
This is almost more of an indictment of modern media than a Helluva/Hazbin theory. Not that you’re wrong.
Well since I know all the princes have apps coranating to them, does that mean the 3 V's work with them? Probably more Velvet and Vox but would it make sense see how we know that all tech in hell is run by vox kinda? Just an idea I thought to throw out there.

We don't really know. They likely have the goal of focusing on sinners since they are the immortal ones, but imps or other species who get in the way may be targeted too.
I feel like maybe the pride ring didn't have it's own native species like wrath. I feel like maybe before sinners started appearing, Pride was specifically just for the fallen angels of God's army

He is. However there is a possibility that he was a 'worshiper' of Mammon (the prince of the pride ring). As such him being a successful performer he would want to mimic his Mammon's appearance so people would worship him as well.
