Classic apocalyptic time travel tale about a man transported by the strength of a vivid memory to a time when he can head off world destruction.
Mark H Remade into a very different 2 hour American version that surprisingly is almost as good!

Saw this as part of a double feature with Sans Soleil at the Castro Theater in San Francisco ages ago. Both were brilliant but San Soleil appeared to be lost on a number of the audience, many of whom walked out.
