Instead of a Wii our family got a Wii U when I was young. During summer my sister would wake me up every morning and we would play Nintendo Land until our parents got up. That game was the bomb.

The Pikmin game, Metroid game, Mario game, and Luigi ghost games were my favorites. I still remember playing them with my sister, mom, dad, cousins, and neighbors. Incredibly nostalgic

i still have my wii u after like 8 years of having it, i don't play much with it anymore (if at all) because i got a gaming pc and a nintendo switch now. but back in my younger days, i would hop on minecraft for wii u every day and be playing battles all the time, shit was absolute fire. you can't forget miiverse, that place was pure chaos... too bad i can't remember much of it, since it died so long ago. the wii u made me what i am today 8 years later: a gamer... i will not forget this fire console that basically everybody hated

As a Gen Z person (I was born in 2001 & I turned 22 a couple of weeks ago) I agree that the 2000s & early 2010s were incredible.

I played so much Skylanders when I was 8 after a friend introduced me to it. This was around the time I moved out into the countryside and really helped me adjust to my new house. Shit was lit.
I was born a little too late to experience the Wii & DS however I do have very fond memories of playing the Wii U & 3DS. Those consoles combined with great shows on Disney, Nick, and Cartoon Network led to an enchanting childhood! Kids today will never understand how much better our childhoods were!
My nephew is nine, we play the Wii, 3ds, Wii U, and Nintendo 64 all the time! Yes, he also loves the Nintendo Switch and the PC, etc. But he loves the older consoles!

Man every time I see these videos a wave of pure nostalgia comes over me damn we were so lucky growing up in the early 2000s and 2010s
The PS3, Wii and Nintendo 3DS (Which I got a bit later in childhood) hit different back then. Games like Wii Sports, NHL 12, Yoshi’s Wooly World, Mario Kart Wii, the classic Battlefield, Lego Batman, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire were all I used to play back then. The shows, like Total Drama, Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, Regular Show, Gumball, they all and still are the best Cartoons I have ever seen. The books (I was very nerdy, and top of my class), like Percy Jackson, Big Nate, and a whole bunch of adult books just were plain amazing. The food…perfection. The Nostalgia I get from these things brings me back to the third grade, back when things were simpler.
I still have fond memories of playing Final Fantasy on the Wii Virtual Console with my mom.
The Lego Batman games were fun to play

I am a late Gen Z kid. But I do have memories from playing on the Wii U and 3DS and when I had my 3DS, I remember carrying it everywhere I go wether it is the grocery store, a restaurant, gas station, wherever I go.
I lost my 3ds :(
I also realize how little games I had on my 3ds lol
The 3DS was fantastic! My favorite game for it was Luigi’s Mansion 2 and I played it so often back then in 2013. I completed the whole game in some weeks. Also great during that time was Super Mario 3D World for the Wii U. I loved that level design and the soundtrack.

this gave me so much nostalgia. I remember me and my friends trading pokemon and football (soccer) cards every day and i even completed a few albums. I also remember building LEGOs, geting hot weels, and playing on a wii, 2ds and 3ds: mario kart, most of the fifa 10s, mario bros And pokemon (ruby and sun and moon), i remember playing minecraft soon after it was launched, clash of clans... so much nostalgia bro. I havent watched the video yet but first thing that comes to mind when i hear “nostalgia” is me playing pokemon platinum as a kid, and my brother had pearl, I remember he was 6 and called his Chimchar “fire monkey”, I always thought that was cute. I also remember I beat Cynthia FIRST TRY as a kid. I wish I can remember my team and their levels, all I remember is that i had Empoleon as my starter, a Rapidash, MAYBE a Staraptor and MAYBE a Luxray, dont remember about those 2 or the rest of the team. I still have pokemon platinum and my brother still has pearl, and I deleted my save file to start a new game and my brother to this day still has all his old game and save file.
Every gen z kid grew up the same way, gives a lot of nostalgia. Especially the bayblades battles and Pokémon battles, my school also banned them, because some children started charging other kids for cards. Keep up the amazing content!

I still have one of my childhood toys (My BeatBo DLX I got when I was 8 in 2018)
and I love him more than anything! He's the only childhood toy i've got left too!

I don’t even remember where that Toys R Us I bought Skylanders and Wii U games at was, but I went there all the time. That side of town hits different when you go through it now.
@@rabrencruz99but Macy’s is also closing a good bit where I am. My favorite mall closed with COVID and now there’s only one left in town and probably the only one in the state. Still tho RIP Toys R Us.

I do remember when my brother beat, Pokemon Platinum in a day as a kid. I asked him how he did it and he said, he just is really good at the game. 2009 and 2010 were the best years to be alive. I was 3 riding in my dad’s truck listening to his Incubus and 311 CD’s on my way to my grandparents house to play Wii Sports and Mario Kart and watch Phineas and Ferb. Or to go to Chucky Cheese (back when they were good) or to Chick-Fil-A. Unmatched.
