Disappointing that the toys franchise had 20 sequels, but Wall-e didn't get a single damn sequel.

That's so true I have noticed several times, that after the 2nd and so forth are not good.
well first of all The Director did not aim to make a sequel also not a lot of people are requesting a wall e sequel they requested more of toy story and they might make a movie in maybe further then 2019
This is so cute!! The fact that he made Eve powered off of wall-e is adorable. Maybe someday through digitally controlled electromagnetic arrays that can control flux pinned pieces you can actually get the levitation for the different parts

Use magnets to levitate the head!
As cool as that would be, the magnets wouldn't be strong enough. Most magnet oriented levitation devices can't hold a lot of weight.

that's a good idea actually. and it can be done without actual "levitation" stuff, just a piece of fishing line and two pieces of kynar to make it levitate for like $10 lol

It would be really cool to build an Eve that actually levitates everything with magnets. She would be really heavy, but it would be cool as hell. The outer shell must be 3D printed obv.

Whoever made the robots did an awesome job!
Gyros inside of EVE would help to create a better "float-like" stability, while she is attached to Wall-E. when Wall-E moves, that bobbing motion she makes, takes away a bit of her characters realism.

It's now 2021 but I don't care, I'm still commenting because this is amazing. He did a really great job. I know it would be really hard, but it would be awesome if he could make eva a balloon basically with helium and little fans to make it like a blimp drone. There are tons of things that do this that look very real, like cars that are really balloons with fans that fly them like blimps and they look 90% like real cars. You could also have a grey or black dome with wheels with a pole sticking out of it so eva could traverse like Wall-E.
a perfect next step would be a second build each or together integrating both. a simple toggle between Manuel and Otto on an arduino or Pi would get the dual animation mode up and running. BTW, thanks for breaking a design block i had on my Hulkbuster armor for #FNCCDCON2021. R2/EVE reskin is PERFECT.

I'd have thought a pretty easy add-on for eve would be the red restriction tether, that she got once she had returned to the mothership. (When she was sent to the repair bay).
Also the plasma cannon arm would be quite cool, especially if it was removable or had a stand alone function so that wall-e could wield it.
